Why do western atheists hate Chinese despite the fact that they both have no belief in Deu?

Besides Migrating to different countries doesn't mean your own country is bad.

Because may be there are many more important things in life than 'Deu'? BTW, 'westerners' are quite religious too.

Sure, no one is saying any country is 'bad'. Just our countries are (somehow?) more popular to settle into. As I said before there are no bad countries. Some countries are better than other, hence more popular.

Chinese go everywhere for more opportunities, they say half of the south east Asians have some kind of Chinese blood, and Canada is an immigration country which people around the world go there, you are also an immigrant if you are not indigenous Americans. and I don't think they go to Canada to badmouth Canada.

By that measure we all are africans and have some amount of African blood, one way or the other. Depends upon how far you are ready to go in the history. Do you agree that you are an African immigrant living in China? Hint: I won't.

You can also say that China does not have enough 'Good universities' -- relative to its population that is. Hence, there will always be folks who may be good enough and yet cannot secure a place in the universities. Those who have means, escape that predicament.

In canada and other "Western" countries, we avoid "ethnicity by blood" purposefully. It has a major racial undertone and implication. Something which is a major no-go and no-no here. Hence, no one uses "Canadian by blood" concept. National identity is purposefully detached from ethnic and racial identity here. Because we once used that and we felt it was unjust.

I am taking care of a brand new house of my relative, who statistically immigrated to the US through EB-5, in my neighborhood, mowing lawns etc., while they still live in China. The only reason is their daughter couldn't handle the competition for a good university in China so she enrolled into a good university in Boston. OP's video is shallow and deceiving. If anyone tries to arrive a conclusion based on that, he will be no doubt misled.

@Hamartia Antidote Winston's channel is a "feel good" place for people who already have various degree of Sinophobia, and it doesn't matter to them how distorted and skewed information they received through other's mouth. But watching too much one-sided view may expose yourself to brainwash.

For some reason, you seem to be really interested in any negative news about China, and have become increasingly irrational. Being an atheist, now you seem to enjoy stirring up religious issues between other countries and China. I am wondering if it's because you watch too much Winston's video?

In my company if a plan is put forth in a meeting and somebody stands up and says “this plan is worthless, the person who thought of it doesn’t know what they are talking about, and we shouldn’t do it”...and then proceeds to sit down and fold their arms. He is looked at as an idiot and not contributing anything to the discussion. Nobody even responds to him.

If somebody else stands up and calmly says “I have a better plan...we should instead do this, that, and the other thing”. He sits down and people have a discussion as to the pros and cons for this new strategy compared to the old. This new plan may end up being more logical and the old plan is deemed incorrect/stupid.

Same here on the forums. An article is posted and a bunch of angry idiots start screaming “this is worthless, he doesn’t know what he is talking about..blah blah blah..false flagger..blah blah..blah traitor..blah blah blah”...without giving an alternate explanation which people will happily discuss.

So instead of acting like example #1 why don’t you start acting like example #2.

The Chinese diaspora has gotten far bigger in the last 20 years. Considering life is getting better in China this seems counter-intuitive. He isn’t talking about just edge cases like temporary students and millionaires...there’s the husband and wife wheeling their 2 year old child in a grocery store in some small town in Europe or some other developed area.

There isn’t an explanation that covers 100% of the people but there must be one for at least 50% of them. Why don’t you provide it..instead of whining. If you can’t...then stay seated.

People moving overseas for various reasons, political freedom, better financial future, better education opportunities, bigger house, better air..... The list goes on.

Why everything in this world has to be "Black and White", like in so many Hollywood movie "Good vs Evil"? Just because many Chinese buy a second or third home overseas or even get a green card for the sake of it, it doesn't mean China is not a good place for them. They just want to have some overseas living experience so they can brag about among their friends, and the important thing is they can afford to do so. Why is there anything difficult to understand?

I know owning a home is a part of "American Dream", and for most of Americans it is THE biggest investment in their entire life for which they will have to carry their 30-year mortgage well into their retirement. Owning 2nd or 3rd home in different country it is well beyond their wildest imagination.

Many Chinese own their home "free and clean" in their 30s-40s, and they have extra money they can invest. Buying a home overseas is not a bad option, besides they want to make the best out of this life because they don't believe there is a "Next Life". Like a new Chinese saying: "poverty limits your imagination".

My story in Post 71 is actually quite typical for many Chinese. They don't mind paying $500+ utilities (water, sewer, storm sewer, garbage, internet, power and gas, ADT security etc) per month for using it only a couple of months per year. So yes, they are immigrated statistically, but their still live in China.

Winston's view on China is very shallow and skewed, that might be intentional, so he can collect view counts from people who can find satisfaction watching others bitching about China.

China is great, the USA is also great. Owning a extra home in the US doesn't mean China is not great.
