VC complaint on azaan: IG bans loudspeakers between 10 pm and 6 am

Comparing 5 times a day to 1 day a year (with permission) is idiotic.

1. Diwali ( originally "Deepawali" - the festival of lamps ) is not for one day but at least five days.

2. This so-called festival of lamps has fireworks bursting for those five days and India becomes a maddening place for those five days. A place where gentle cats become absolutely terrified and find the deepest place to hide. An ideal city is which is a compromise between humans and cats, and India generally is no such place generally, and especially during "Deepawali".

Yes you can complain if someone purposely stops tractor,car,trucks in front of your house and stops the aeroplane midair above your house to disturb you.

The festival is of 5 days but bursting of crackers take place mostly only on the day of Laxmi Puja. I am all for banning big bombs and bursting of crackers beyond 10:00 pm on the said day too. I hope you have similar sentiments for noise pollution 5 times a day that too in the 10:00 pm - 6:00 am timeslot?

its not even part of islam since the invention of loud speaker molvis said that time its haram un islamic but in recent decades its became part of mosques .

Bhai loud speakers are used all over the world. I live in ksa. Every masjid here has loud speaker. But what I noticed in pak is that first of all azan is not the problem doesn't matter how loud the speaker is. It's the naat after prayer. Like naat is amazing but turn of loud speaker and recite inside masjid. But Pakistanis will used 10 year old boys to recite naat as loud as possible even on loud speaker.

As I said in post# 10 I am for total replacement of azaan loudspeakers in favor of the cell phone app Muslim Pro which notifies the user of the qibla ( direction to pray ) and the azaan ( five times a day ).

I speak for total ban on fireworks in India and the world. In fact there is such a ban in China and among the one or two things about China I like this sort of ban.

Deepawali should be celebrated by lighting lamps and not firing and bursting fireworks.

bhai jan pakistan have not only loud speaker issue but so much of religous extreamism issue .

there is no fixed azan times

11:30 start first zuher azan 2:30 end last one and then 3:00pm starts aser azan and finished 5:00 . i even ask a molvi its your azan time what are you waiting for he laughed wo sath wala molvi khatam ker le to main doon na . these uneducated secterian scums are real issue . no problem if gov make a plan of azan and all of the mosques have azan one time .

yahan sara din azan hoti rehti hai sara din loudspeaker abuse hota rehta hai if you need peace of mind you better have home in some posh society with nice glass windows .

I'm against banning it, but there should be restrictions.

1. At fajr time and isha time, no need for salawat or naat over the loudspeaker. Just do Azaan and be done.

2. It should be at the same time. I know there is some fiqh based differences on when Asar time is, but as far as i'm concerned the rest of the namaz ought to be coordinated.

3. No khutbahs broadcast over the loudspeakers. Limit them to the sound systems inside the masjid.

Unfortunately Pakistani molvi have turned Azan into noise pollution. I was in Turkey and Morocco over the last few years on holidays and azaan happened across multiple masjids within a minute or two.

IDK what the situation is like in India.

.... although it's ironic that a country which is regularly described as loud, is complaining about azan. No complaints about the loud prayers from their temples, or the traffic horns all the time, or the shouting in bazaars... but azaan is the bane of their existence. This is just another anti Muslim step.

If you want to cut noise pollution, ban the use of horns instead.

its really good these mullahs are making so much noise pollution here in pakistan too . a single speaker is enough but they use hell of speakers like they want to awake dead one from grave to go prayer .

@The Accountant why negative rating? that is a serious issue, imagine if a person does a night shift of 12 hours which is common in pakistan, he cant even sleep properly due to these loudspeakers, with different timings of Salah at different mosques make things more worse, there are 4 o 5 timings of same prayer in almost every town in Lahore. Naat on loud speakers is only in Pakistan. No other Muslim country has stuff like this. Naat are recited inside without the Loud Speakers.

giving Azan on loudspeaker is making hell, you made this up... please reconsider and act wisely in such matters, u are a respectable and title holder, u represent PDF and should tolerate disagreements .
