USA sceptic towards chinese economic development in Pakistan will bear fruits due to instability

I have no doubt that the Chinese will perform due diligence and an exacting cost-benefit analysis for all their billions to be invested. That is also why there are not many hyped up claims from their side regarding the CPEC.

Obviously you have no official guanxi relationship with any Chinese State Owned Enterprises, because the corridor has huge expectations in China and a number of companies are willing to expand their oversea investments in Pakistan. Extensive studies have occurred since 2013 on potential projects and the conclusion was evident when President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan with the signing of 51 agreements. Since April another 20 agreements were signed in Xinjiang on infrastructure projects worth $1.6 billion and the Three Gorges Corporation has just put in a bid of three hydro-power projects in the region of $5.3 billion. In addition the same company is reviewing the technical data of 10-12 water projects in Pakistan. Unlike the American's the Chinese focus on action rather than words and most certainly the corridor in our country falls into the category of the Silk Road initiative promoted by the Central Government of China to its domestic masses.

All excellent ideas. Any idea of the tonnage estimates and mode of transport to be shipped via Gawadar and KKH? For Pakistan, all the proposed projects are great, but if they were so profitable for the Chinese, why was a sovereign guarantee of 18% return extracted beforehand?

for it will also be conducting millions of dollars worth of trade through it daily.

Great, now let us hear about what exactly will be traded to the tune of a billion dollars a year through this link which is not happening already?

So why don't you list the alternate projects to CPEC? You seem to strongly believe that all civilian / military planners from China and Pakistan are stupid and do not know anything. If you are pointing to a problem then propose a solution. . Let's hear it?

CPEC for Pakistan is a good idea. For Pakistan.

Are you here to refute everything regarding CPEC just for the sake of refuting? What logic can you possibly have that transcends the logic of Chinese government and companies, the leading players in the economics of this region?

It is not a matter of refusing anything. It is a matter of intelligently discussing the claims being made. The Chinese logic is clear: 18% guaranteed returns on billions of dollars. Not bad at all. Now how does all of that play out for Pakistan?

The Federal Government of Pakistan never issued the decree to Chinese State Owned Enterprises that under the umbrella of the Economic Corridor all potential projects will be protected with a sovereign guarantee of 18% return. The Solar Park project in Bahawalpur was guaranteeing a 17% return, however this initiative was taken by the Government of Punjab two years prior. Please provide me evidence of documents where the Pakistan Government signed an agreement with the Chinese Government of guaranteeing all projects with an 18% return, instead of the cesspit nonsense written by the tabloid newspapers. There are four phases of the Economic Corridor and the first phase has remotely nothing to do with the idea of shipping Chinese goods to Gwadar, henceforth both Government's have argued the assumption that the project is a 15 year plan. However a significant amount of goods will be shipped to Gwadar from Western and Central regions of China, which is imperative for Beijing because historically these regions have always risen up against ruling government of the day due to poverty and inequality. However the feasibility report on two train routes have already taken place and when the relevant infrastructure is in place then this will go ahead. Obviously nothing in life is simple and things can go wrong, however this is a good chance to enhance the relationship of both our countries to the next level.

What @Syed.Ali.Haider , and others are starting to see as more details are being released, is that China is financing a Pakistani Infrastructure/Stimulus project, worth up to $46 Billion because Pakistan doesn't have that much money. Nor can it get a loan for that amount from the WB or IMF.

Have the signed agreements been made public? Or are the provisions being kept hidden?

As infrastructure projects go, what is being proposed is great for Pakistan, but the devil, as always, lies in the details. The amounts are "neither loans nor grants, but investments", as the PM claimed. Nobody makes billions of dollars worth of investments without a return on that investment.

That's like saying Islamic Financing doesn't have Interest.

The most important question is if China Russia relation is good, why even China will depend on Gulf so much for its oil where it can get its oil from next door neighour? And to take the credit, Russia will be more than happy to supply the oil to China through pipeline which will be less expensive than building and waiting for 20 year to make something in Pakistan..

As India complains about, It is not all about China and its development project. Rather, China wants to increase its foot print in South Asia, Middle east and Gulf area through this corridor...It may be a good for Pakistan but for China it has a better alternative to achive what it is desired for though other means...The only advantage though this corridor is to expand its military network to new regions though its friend Pakistan...
