I have no doubt that the Chinese will perform due diligence and an exacting cost-benefit analysis for all their billions to be invested. That is also why there are not many hyped up claims from their side regarding the CPEC.
Obviously you have no official guanxi relationship with any Chinese State Owned Enterprises, because the corridor has huge expectations in China and a number of companies are willing to expand their oversea investments in Pakistan. Extensive studies have occurred since 2013 on potential projects and the conclusion was evident when President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan with the signing of 51 agreements. Since April another 20 agreements were signed in Xinjiang on infrastructure projects worth $1.6 billion and the Three Gorges Corporation has just put in a bid of three hydro-power projects in the region of $5.3 billion. In addition the same company is reviewing the technical data of 10-12 water projects in Pakistan. Unlike the American's the Chinese focus on action rather than words and most certainly the corridor in our country falls into the category of the Silk Road initiative promoted by the Central Government of China to its domestic masses.
