China hasn't bought the JF-17 either. They have their needs and we have ours. Rumor has it that Pakistan is interested in Su-35 and Euro fighters from Italy.

That will remain my diplomatic due diligence. Knowing that Pakistan's defense doctrine unilaterally based on India, We will use our diplomatic clout or economic leverage to developments that are aimed towards the India. That is purely our due diligence, just like what you have been bitching and moaning about NSG waivers, it's your due diligence.

In short,
if Countries friendly to India Sell Military hardware to Pakistan, We will talk to the that country based on Bilateral ties we have with that country to cause hurdles. You can do the same
If countries friendly to India, Arm Pakistan, we will protest arming Pakistan against India, we will protest the action.
If countries like Russia, France and Israel with whom we have extensive business regarding defense articles sell to Pakistan, we will try our best to leverage our business dealing to block such activities, we might succeed in some we might fail in others.

That's how it is, 8 f16's blocked is 8 less f16's our armed forces have to plan against and contend with, it's just good work by the diplomats, which unfortunately you don't have.

This was my point all along that do not make it sound as if you had problems only relating to funding of the hardware. The fact is India will have problem regardless the funding and so would we.

that's just how the great game is, if it makes you feel better, India will never match up to the sheer numbers the Chinese can and will field either, man or machine.

bigger picture, the truth is that India does not want Pakistani land, keep KPK and AK, little to no political or military will for conquest here, we should just sign a border agreement and convert the LOC to and IB and everything will be fine, or, keep watching the enemy expand at a rate you are not going to be able to keep up with,

Pak should learn from China, who are so pragmatic, flexible and non-aggressionist with stuff like contested borders etc,

I dont think there is any disagreeing over the fact when it comes to numbers fielded by India and Pakistan. Naturally India is bigger in size with more resources, man power and certainly a bigger area to defend with. Our point is about the potent hardware that is on offer to India and that will tilt the balance of power even more so In India;s favour. That is where the contention lies and hence our objection.

Technically US has not blocked F16s sale to Pakistan. They now just want us to pay full money like in 80s.

China never bought the JF-17 because they had a better option in the J-10 which is superior.





but as for Pakistan being interested in the Su-35 that makes sense, but no way can Pakistan afford Eurofighters.


if you are unwilling to pay the full price for the F-16 not sure how you can afford $300+ million Eurofighters

what is stopping Pakistan? Get all that you can get.

Machiavellian states are trying their best to stop Pakistan from acquiring whatever she needs to defend herself. I would say their success rate is 30%. For Pakistan it's a blessing in disguise if you know what I mean. Had it not been for those states Pakistan would have remained like Nepal or BD, weak and dependent for her defence needs.

Mate it doesn't really matter, the issue at hand is that they can get the same things India is getting. They are making it sound like that US or west is suddenly against them. Which is not the case, US is willing to arm Pakistan also, the only difference being that they would like Pakistan to start offering more for the weapons, which I don't see a issue in. If you wish to compete then please by means buy what India is buying but don't blame other countries for your own lack of effort.


Why the answer is simple we had no money we were barely emerging from the economic crash and we were still considered by the west as a Pro Russian/Soviet Country.

As for the earlier, No country can force you to do something that you don't want to, Pakistan willingly accepted US offer. US basically looked after its interest of beating the Soviets and they did that. You were/are a nuclear power yet you gave other nation and organization full access to your land which in the end caused disaster in your country. Neither US nor the West can be blamed for that.
