China isn't stupid enough to shoot a lowly senator's plane, it's another thing if US military approached TAiwan with goal of instigating separation.China will definitely engage than.

China is only the biggest military in the world in terms of size and a nuclear armed state, they can mess US presence in the south china sea.

Exercise just as Russia was doing on the Ukranian borders. By looking at the map that GT shared of the exercise, it does seem to be an invasion plan, as China will completely surround Taiwan.

Truth is I never believe the bombastic claims that China will shoot down Pelosi's plane or such... no way that's happening... but after all those warnings and angry statements, I still expect the PLA to do *something* militarily... perhaps by lobbing missiles to Taiwan like during the '96 crisis, or maybe do a visual interception by J-20s.. but so far it seems the PLAAF doesn't even dare cross the so-called Median line...

That being said, as a Southeast Asian I of course prefer that there's no conflict in our neighborhood as it will be disastrous to our trade and development... but it still sucks to see how the US can easily makes provocations everywhere without care and without consequences...

If even China can't, then I guess it will still take some time before Asians can really stand up as equals to the Anglo - Saxons..

Well.. at the very least China was able to force Pelosi to do a long detour...
