Solomon, i know this is not your fault... but the articles you share, always looks one side of the coin.
Let me show the other side of the coin;
1-) Turkish Airlines has 800 fighter pilots, in it's rank. 500 of these started within the past 5 years.
2-) Initially 140 fighter pilots volunteered for going back to TAF.

Now, let's do a basic math.
X = Total pilot number (pre coup)
Y = Total aircraft number.
X = 1.25Y (Pre-coup)
X - 274 = Y x 0.8 (Post-coup)
1.25Y - 0.8Y = 274
0.45Y = 274
Y =
609 (Total aircraft number)
X =
761 (Pre coup total pilot number)
761 - 274 =
487 (Post coup pilot number)
140 Pilots returning back, new pilot number will be;
487 + 140 =
627
So, the new ratio will be;
627/609 =
1.03 pilot per aircraft.
If let's say Turkey engaged in a large scale war and the remaining 360 pilots drafted back in to TAF.
627+360 =
987
Ratio will be;
987/609 =
1.62 pilot per aircraft.
As you can see, situation is not grim as the author tells us.
