US offering Patriot system if Russian S-400s not operated: Turkey

If Turkey has to dump S400 to get F35 and Patriots then they should not waste any time. Patriot is a proven system and recent performance of Russian SAMs in syria does't really bring much confidence in S400. Either be in US camp or chinese Russians are a waste of time.

Iranian Air Force is no threat and Egypt can‘t even reach Turkish airspace let alone returning back without aerial refuel.

I would copy S-400 if the Russians don‘t take it back, refuse Patriot and join F-35 again.

how many do you want to operyte this is not a souluition think about how many BM iran has how many can these systems intercept..

for such threats we need iron dome alike system with many many launchers and still than a full blown war defence systems are not enough better to have strike capabilities so you wont get hit because you destroyed the threats before they could be launched..

Turkey should just reverse engineer Some of the S-400 components and develop their own systems, while keeping the rest in storage. They benefit a lot more being an active part of NATO and re-integrating back into the F-35 program.

The Russians are a historic enemy of the Turks and should not have been trusted. The S-400 was a short sighted purchase. The Turks could have gotten a Chinese version of the S-400 without all the hassle

even if the S-400 stays boxed up, the Turks can recover the $4-5 Billion they spent by export the T-FX based on the F-35 experience they gain.

F-35 won’t be flying in the eastern mediterranean until 2023/25 when turkish long range air defense system is ready
F-16s KC-135 tanker and heavy mission drones like Akinci and Aksungur are enough in eastmed for now
