What's new

US Intel said"Pakistan will be a failed state by 2015". Facts exactly opposite.

That is so profound. LOL.
Reason enough to believe that were the 'dheetest' nation that ever was on the face of this earth.
No wonder the Yanks and the Indians get so worked up about this.
Most of the folks will remain in a hyped up state of mind till Hazret-i Azrail (AS) shows up...

True, especially in short term. I mean right now apart from China, no one else is investing even thousand dollars in Pakistan....
Once we put our house in order, fix the corruption issues and educate our population, these same people will be falling over each other to come and invest in Pakistan.

People with statements as such no matter where they are from actually have failed minds and need serious mental help!!

No matter what the opinion of such Think Tanks is about Pakistan, indeed they tried every bit of that to do so or prove the theory as correct but we are still here and moving ahead with growth while eliminating the terrorist by wining the war of terrorism. However, to take it as credibility, same Intel was shouting sky high about WMDs in Iraq however, same is not the topic so leave it. Though these kind of statement/studies prove that what they are up-to and how they are planning in future. We have in house issues but will be solved soon and we are getting aligned. The sacrifices wouldn't go in vain.

In what sense?
Regardless what kind of news these corrupt politicians are spreading, Pakistan is going to be ecinomically failed state unless it's stop boworring money and start paying off loans. Pakistan circular debt is highyer that what he can pay. These corrupt politicians have destroyed our economy, export are probably the lowest in many years.

Also put an end to socialism and anti-privatization parties like PPP ....investors are deterred by PPP...socialist and marxist parties need to be permanently banned in Pakistan..

I do think Pakistan has the ability to prevent becoming a totally failed state if it will give up its policy towards terrorism as a vehicle of state.

That said, the following quoted prediction seems to be mostly on mark :
"‘The Hindu’ published a Global Futures Assessment Report jointly formulated by U.S. National Intelligence Council (NIC) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), suggesting that ‘by the year 2015 Pakistan would be a failed state, ripe with civil war, bloodshed, inter-provincial rivalries and a struggle for control of its nuclear weapons and complete Talibanisation.’"

* With over 40,000 Pakistanis killed in WOT by NATO forces and several thousands killed by a combination of terrorists and the military operation against them (such as zarb e azb) - indeed Pakistan has been ripe with bloodshed. The supply of gps coordinates to the American drones by the Pakistani military should be considered the epitome of this disaster.

* Inter provincial rivalries are increasingly more intense with Baluchistan taking the lead. Army operations in Sind have temporarily but forcibly curtailed rebeliions there but it can break out anytime.

* Talibanization under a different name has already taken place. Terrorists are openly recruiting; minority and liberal figures are openly disappeared including the currently missing four.

* The Pakistani economy is in shambles but well disguised. Exports, remittances and fdi have all crashed but the chinese loans have been used to disguise this catastrophe.

The only silver lining is that the biggest of the risks, losing control of nuclear arsenal has been mitigated by a combination of carrot and stick treatment from the USA as well as potential localized management by China.

A fairly common mistake in Intelligence circles. People tends to make things up from their expectations, desires, and presumptions. @Khafee

If people in sensitive institutions start throwing their personal opinions around, they would be out of a job, or worse in jail.

When someone comes up with a biased opinion, it usually has the backing of his/ her seniors, or an institution on whose behalf an agenda is being propagated.

Going through the document below one realizes, that clearly there is an anti-Pakistan agenda.

When one speaks to rational people in Washington, the same msg is echoed "An economically and militarily stable Pakistan, is the cornerstone for peace and stability in the region"

Ah yes the 2015 horse$hit. Anyone remember all the Indians jumping all over with this? Their posts should be bought back up to be laughed at. Oh don't forget the "top ten failed states index" as well.
