US high school students join Muslim peers in wearing hijabs

good !!

in fact while many progressive muslim-majority countries refused the "hijab" or burqa or uncomfortably wear them because of current circumstances, it was in the western countries, especially britain, where the hijabis/burqas found freedom and it was from these western countries came a lot of the nato-supported terrorists who invaded syria and libya in early 2011.

Hi,

Would it be any different if I put a red dot on my forehead or wore a DHOTI to show my support for the Hindu colleagues!
What makes you think only hindus wear dhoti? In humid climate its worn by most of the ppl. Some women wear bindi(red dot) not show that they are hindus but to look pretty. But hindus dont make a fuss of it. Its like women wearing a earring. Fact is in india , unless ppl exhibit their religion openly or tell their name you can never make out their religion. Its simply regional culture. Going by your assumption can you say that only hindu women wear sari ?

You are calling others haraami. what about you?

are you justifying taliban and qaeda??

sorry to say but at the moment you are generally uneducated and quite unaware of global politics and history... as a simple question, why is that the types you support ( talibani, ikhwaani etc ) arrive in power hanging on the coat tails of western governments??

read this[1]..
uilding upon the initial thoughts of Sindhi and Sihwarwl were perhaps South Asia’s two most ardent and articulate supporters and theoreticians of Islamic Socilaism: Ghulam Ahmed Parvez and Dr. Khalifa Abdul Hakim.

Parvez was a prominent ‘Quranist’, or an Islamic scholar who insisted that for the Muslims to make progress in the modern world, Islamic thought and laws should be entirely based on the modern interpretations of the Qu’ran and on the complete rejection of the hadith (sayings of the Prophet and his companions based on hearsay and compiled over a 100 years after the Prophet’s demise).

After studying traditional Muslim texts, as well as Sufism, Parvez claimed that almost all hadiths were fabrications by those who wanted Islam to seem like an intolerant faith and by ancient Muslim kings who used these hadiths to give divine legitimacy to their tyrannical rules.

Parvez also insisted that Muslims should spend more time studying the modern sciences instead of wasting their energies on fighting out ancient sectarian conflicts or ignoring the true egalitarian and enlightening spirit of the Qu’ran by indulging in multiple rituals handed down to them by ancient ulema, clerics and compilers of the hadith.
Understandably, Parvez was right away attacked by conservative Islamic scholars and political outfits.

But this didn’t stop famous Muslim philosopher and poet, Muhammad Iqbal, to befriend the young scholar and then introduce him to the future founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
In a series of essays for the magazine he used verses from the Qu’ran, incidents from the faith’s history and insights from the writings of Muhammad Iqbal to claim:

The clergy and conservative ulema have hijacked Islam.

They are agents of the rich people and promoters of uncontrolled Capitalism.

Socialism best enforces Qur’anic dictums on property, justice and distribution of wealth.

Islam’s main mission was the eradication of all injustices and cruelties from society. It was a socio-economic movement, and the Prophet was a leader seeking to put an end to the capitalist exploitation of the Quraysh merchants and the corrupt bureaucracy of Byzantium and Persia.

According to the Qur’an, Muslims have three main responsibilities: seeing, hearing and sensing through the agency of the mind. Consequently, real knowledge is based on empirically verifiable observation, or through the role of science.

Poverty is the punishment of God and deserved by those who ignore science.

In Muslim/Islamic societies, science, as well as agrarian reform should play leading roles in developing an industrialised economy.

A socialist path is a correction of the medieval distortion of Islam through Shari’a.

as for my "sect", i was born into sunni background but i always said that i am not sunni, i am not shia, i am just a muslim... and i found out later that this is what gaddafi said of himself... and the society that gaddafi made was invaded by 40+ militaries of nato and its terrorist proxies in 2011... are you with nato or against nato??

primarily i am a socialist by natural tendency and work towards a communist humanity.

What an idiotic and jahalat filled comment you have. Since when Bashar al Assad become a role model for Muslims and Islam. If you were a Muslim, you would know that the role model of Muslim is the prophet (May peace and blessings be upon him) not Taliban, the criminal and mass-murderer Bashar-al-Assad, Moammar Qaddafi or anyone else. A Muslim never asks such a question because that is the most fundamental teaching of Islam.

I am pointing out at your abusive language the so called double-faced ugly liberals like you who label others as abusive while you take all other liberties to use an abusive language yourself. If you call them haraami what does it make you.?

US high school students join Muslim peers in wearing hijabs

Students of a high school in Chicago joined their Muslim peers in wearing hijabs as part of an event.

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) of Vernon Hills High School in Chicago hosted an event “Walk a Mile in Her Hijab” aiming to provide a better understanding of the Muslim faith. The event gave students of other religions an opportunity to wear the hijab in tan attempt to challenge stereotyping of Muslims.

Six members of the school’s MSA devoted an entire morning placing hijabs on 17 non-Muslim girls as they conversed about the beliefs of Muslims. Teachers and students at the school were encouraged to ask questions about the hijab if they came across a student wearing one.

“I wanted to learn more about the religion, considering my uncle is also Muslim,” Charli Mosley a junior at the school said while wearing a red hijab. “With more people wearing a hijab around school, it could bring more acceptance to the religion and have more people become more aware.”

While expressing his admiration for Muslim students at the school, the school headmaster said the event is an opportunity for the kids to embrace the Muslim community at the school.

“I think it is a difficult time to be a Muslim student in our high school, in our community, and in America,” he said.

“I think this is an opportunity for our kids to embrace the Muslim community within the school. For other kids outside of this organization, to understanding what it’s like for these girls to walk through our halls in this garment in a way that stands out from other kids. So, I’m proud of them,” he added.

..

I think Hizab is really good thing..I also belive that it is very beutiful tradition to wear Hijab rather than Black colr Burkha where communication with other people is completely hindered...

Where is the part that media supports it?
You need to understand....He will use false information....tell you blunt lies and distorted facts....to just to confuse you. I have noted him and double faced liberals like him. For example, he takes all the liberties to use abusive and vulgar language against religious or people who differ with him but if the same words said to him then he will label you and start preaching :)

Yeah I figured. Hypocrisy at its best. :p

i don't understand.

I have noted him and double faced liberals like him.

i am not a "liberal"... it was/is the "liberals" who allowed the mullahs and mullans to proliferate.

i am to the extreme left, the true left... to paraphrase gaddafi "if being left is to mean being humanitarian then yes the book of my religion, the quran, is a book of the left".

He will use false information....tell you blunt lies and distorted facts

prove it.

i am a simple person... i don't need to lie or distort.

If you claim to be a Muslim but still don't know who is the role model for Muslims regardless of the sect? Plus Hijab is supported by all Muslims and only Islamophobes would talk against it. It does not matter in which sect or religion you were born (actually all children are born on nature i.e. Islam) but what matters is what you believe. Qaddafi was a great person and still he was no role model by any standard. No Muslim can support NATO and if he supports, either he is total ignorant to the point of being infidel or he needs to review his faith and knowledge of the religion.
