You say 'host' as if they were wanted there. All of these supposed 'groups' have spilled more Pakistani blood in last 20 years than any foreign power. That is why army has been busy cleaning them up and they are no more. Many of them had been funded/supported by Arabs/Iranians fighting their goofy conflict. Irrespective of that what does that have to do with Soleimani and an attack on Pakistani embassy?

Iran is the biggest terrorist---recruiting poor pakistan Shia boys from pakistan to throw them as canon fodder in areas of conflict in Iran / Iraq / Syria / Lebanon / Palestine---.

And pakistani shias are the bigger fools as well---thought the Iraq / Iran was religious war---the brainless people did not know it was a real estate war---.

I would love to say that Pakistan should keep away from any america military advance towards iran but hey we are gonna face the same heat we faced during american advance in Afganistan and i have no reasons to believe this time the outcome will be different.. we will succumb to american pressure again.. change my mind..

I'm sure at a minimum they will attack some US target in Lebanon. There's usually no repercussions by the Lebanese government when stuff happens there.

Unfortunately all US targets are on the table and Iranians aren't going to restrict themselves. All Pakistan can do is tighten up security and condemn Trump's/Netanyahu's actions.

I think Pakistan will get involved one way or another but here are things for you to consider:

1) Iran is accessible by sea unlike Afghanistan and GCC countries will be more than happy to host US to attack Iran
2) If vote in Iraq fails they can use Iraq too
3) US wants closer relations with India not Pakistan and giving Patriot missiles or anything else (especially F-16) will light Indian chaddis on fire
4) China has a few reasons to persuade Pakistan not to accept help from US

It's the Afghan tribal conflict more than a religious one. Northern Alliance is the same phenomenon whose packaging and branding keeps changing.
