Excuse me, but I don't remember I said that you used Israeli sources? I said you accepted the Israeli narrative without proof. And who determines the credibility of a source? When you talk about credibility, it means that whatever source I give you, you can just call it not credible enough.

All Western sources are going to stick with the Israeli version of the story. I am sure you are mature enough to know this.

Does that look like an explosion caused by SA-5 debris?

As a matter of fact, I do know what kind of problems the management has to deal with because Mosa and I were the first International Moderators of the forum when PDF was still in its first years. And still, I respectfully disagree about that with you. Let's agree to disagree then.
I do not have a solution for 'painting all Western sources with the same brush' mentality TBH.

Shall WE boycott Western sources on PDF then?

Those explosions are what exactly? Can you elaborate? This is the problem of some tweets; amateurish take(s) of a development and fuel speculations instead of making things clear for general audience.

From the LINK I shared:

"A spokesman from the Israel Defense Forces said that what was left of the SA-5 missile landed around 19 miles from the Dimona nuclear facility, which is located approximately 125 miles south of the Syrian border.

Debris apparently from this missile came down in the village of Ashalim, located in the Negev desert in southern Israel, around 21 miles south of the city of Be’er Sheva. There were no reports of injuries or damage."

Another view of the same development:

"The army’s chief spokesman, Brig. Gen. Hidai Zilberman, was quoted as telling military correspondents that the Israeli air force was already operating in Syrian airspace when the anti-aircraft missile was fired. He said the projectile, identified as a Russian-made SA-5 missile, missed its target and exploded in southern Israel.

The missile, also known as an S200, set off air raid sirens in a village near Dimona, the southern desert town where Israel’s nuclear reactor is located, and some 300 kilometers (200 miles) south of Damascus.

“There was no intention of hitting the nuclear reactor in Dimona,” Zilberman was quoted as saying.

An Israeli missile-defense system tried but failed to intercept the incoming missile. Defense Minister Benny Gantz said the incident was under investigation."

Perhaps that Syrian SA-5 missile as well as unknown Israeli interceptors caused these explosions collectively?

I understand that these reports might not be satisfactory for some members but who is in the position to conduct independent Forensics in Israel? I suppose nobody.

If you have another source that sheds further light on this development then kindly share it. I will give it a FAIR look as well.

And what does make you think that I will believe what American sources say? Don't you think that naturally American sources can be biased about this incident? Particularly because a lot of people in the US blamed the Democrats for the incident and it soon became a political thing?

Oh, I see. So, you're saying that we should be thankful to Americans that an Iranian-American, who probably had traveled to the US only recently after the 1979 revolution, decided to fight for the country where he was born. Right? And your father is an academic. How is that related to the US Army? Unless your father was spying on us, I can't see why an academic that has come to our country for scientific studies or teaching should be related to the US Armed Forces. Care to elaborate?

you need some serious work on your comprehension skill. My father is French, he was working for a French multinational on a gas basin in Iran at the time. I have three passports so yes I have travelled to Iran as well using my French passport.

You're putting words in my mouth. I never said that we should treat all Western sources the same way, or we should ban them. But look at your quotes. You're quoting Israeli officials only. Is that considered unbiased independent journalism by you? Well, not by me. Let's agree to disagree. You edited the title, and you don't have to explain it to me.

Why? I should work on my comprehension skill because you can't express yourself properly? How am I supposed to know that your father is French? Do I know you? lol

But you refrained from answering my question. We were talking about American soldiers. How does that pertain to your father? A person working for a French multinational gas company? I suppose you mean TOTAL, by the way?

.
That means US is worst than gas station. Land of impotent?

...and your jokes get lamer .. I’m surprised you bristle so hard over the Iran gas station joke.
I just thought it was funny and largely true - the Chinese are milking Iran, they are literally robbing the Iranians.

How come you do not put Israeli flags? You are just embarassing Pakistan.
I am not Israeli. Secondly it is extremely antisemitic to make fun of Holocaust.
@waz @LeGenD what kind of half assed title is this? original title ''explosion reported in central israel'' is the most accurate one. Not this biased title.
This title is based on latest independent Intel. PDF is leading defense forum of Pakistan. We don't spread and propagate military rumors here.

.
A moderator choosing what source is credible and what source is not is clearly breaking the norms of an open discussion forum...if that rule is applied to all the threads that are opened you need to change majority of them....very discouraging..
These feeble complaints have no value TBH. There can be only one title of this thread and it must be based on a source. Tweets are not articles unfortunately. Every thread does not necessitates intervention from a staff member because it is not opened on the basis of some tweets.

This thread have invited much TROLLING in it due to lack of direction in it, and when I gave it some direction, some members have a problem with my decision now.

If you welcome endless TROLLING in this thread then just say so.

You are welcome to enlighten me what happened in Israel with good evidence. I will consider your view in fairness.

I am speaking the truth. We are all disappointed american don't even have guts to retaliate when their bases are bombed directly. Pathetic! :enjoy:

Beaten by gas station? You even got cheek to laugh? Laughing at yourself worst than gas stations.

ah! the Iran missile attack, yes we deserved that one for assassinating an Iranian General.
We were on the wrong side of history on that occasion and I’m glad we did not escalate.

Yes he can be prosecuted in Germany for that post.

It's not a dick measuring contest. Intel from both sides confirm that the missile in question was errant. It failed to hit its target (Israeli warplanes), as well as Israel (best high tech power of the middle east) failed to neutralize it before it hit the ground. So that's all folks.

It's still pretty darn funny though. Israel is the world's soap mine. And soon or later, people will mine soap from there.
Reported again for blatant antisemitism

I posted updated information about explosions in Israel from mainstream sources (Western and Middle Eastern). Since this is a discussion about an incident in Israel, it is logical for different sources to quote Israeli officials in relation.

You clearly stated this in your post (# 254): "All Western sources are going to stick with the Israeli version of the story. I am sure you are mature enough to know this."

Sweeping generalization or what? How can I address this issue for you?

I do not have much free time on my hands to address your reservations about Western sources TBH. This is something you will have to figure out on your own.

I have given this thread some direction on the basis of a well-informed source. Thread title can be amended again in view of additional updates from the same source or other well-informed sources.

If you find another article reliable then let me know. But you are stuck with an unexplained footage.

This source:

- will do for amending title of this thread?
