This is the kind of information worth spreading onto Chinese social media @beijingwalker @viva_zhao @52051 @Beast @Daniel808. @grey boy 2 I see these racist attacks against Chinese students in the uk all the time. You guys need to speak up about it more. Too many are fooled by our soft power. Your governments do next to nothing to warn or prepare them. Many of them are victimized.

“Melbourne is a caring and inclusive city that welcomes people from all over the world to live and study here.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic it is more important than ever to stick together and lend a hand to those who need it.”

‘Disgusting’
University of Melbourne’s Vice-Chancellor Duncan Maskell said the attack was “disgusting” and “unprovoked”.

“There is no place for violence in a modern, future-facing society like Australia,” he said in a statement.

“These senseless and vicious attacks on two young women must never be tolerated in our community.

“The people who did this are a disgrace.”

Maskell said the university is providing assistance to the students.

Investigation
Investigators are now working to identify two women that may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Both women are described as Caucasian in appearance, about 20 years old with a skinny build.

Thank you for reminding.
Let me tell you one thing, the education cooperation program has suspended. Not sure whether it will recover, I expect it won't recover in near future.

Those students come back, it's good for both side.

That is welcomed news. Australia was getting the lion's share of the benefit without reciprocating gratitude or kindness. I think China ought to pull their investments and see how mighty Australia is when their economy is in tatters as a result of their xenophobia and arrogance.

.
Australian government and university should make sure the safety of the students from such heinous attacks.

We need to deport all these so-called "students" from China, they are a disgrace and were involved in raiding the supermarket and pharmacies in November and sending everything back to China. These Chinese are still loyal to the CCP and Australia doesn't want commies in our country, they even stole bay formula and sent it all back to China.

Need to arrest all Chinese students and jail them and deport them back to China, sorry to say no one deserves racism but in China, they are racist all the time. Chinese come to Australia, NZ, USA, Europe and steal, cheat and lie, get rid of the Chinese in all these countries.

Obviously the OP is from another country.
Derogatory generalizations against any Community are against forum rules.

But it's true, Chinese have raided supermarkets, pharmacies, etc in Australia and sent it back to China in November, there are plenty of news reports and videos. I thought this was an open forum, not Chinese controlled, but obviously it is.

Unless there’s empirical evidence that ALL Chinese students or all Chinese residents were involved, your post is a derogatory generalization and isn’t acceptable.

This is your last warning on this.
