Honestly I am not. I call a spade a spade. I don't care about religion. I am cool with Sikhs in Punjab. I cool with many groups in India. Indeed I quite like them. However the problem with India is the filth that the 'good' floats in. If it was only what I call 'good' I would have said openly I regret 1947. So no I am not jealous. I can only thank Jinnah for 1947 because that gave excuse for the Radcliffe Line and the fence we have there now.

I feel quite bad about losing our Sikhs, Hindus from Pakistan. Some still live there I am cool with them. My issue is not some Hindkoh speaking Hindu or Sikh from Khyber Pakhtunwa or some Punjabi Sikh from Lahore. It is the mass you have east of Delhi and south of Delhi. It's simple as that and I know some Indians feel lie that as well, including Sikhs once you get to know them. A sikh was telling me last week how his hometwon of Ludhiana has neen swamped with Bihari, Odishans and millions of other untouchables. I thank Jinnah for saving us from this - darn care about what excuse he used. End do justify the means. And 'end' was we got a nice fence on our east.

This thread severely undermines the factors that unites India today, despite having far more linguistic, ethnic and religious diversities than Pakistan. Mere hatred against a common enemy can not be taken as an gluing factor for nation building. India's post independence national ideology was deeply inspired by it's pre-Independence national movements. Social-economic policies, political structures were intensely debated in the National Congress's conferences, which was not in case of Muslim League's whose sole agenda was to oppose Congress in whatever way it found. That is why you see the stark difference between the ways political and socio-economic structures, role of military evolved in the two countries.

No. Hatred against you did not dominate our national policies. I can say a lot more about especially on what terms and why Pakistan leaned on USA right after 14th August 1947 but I will leave it to you to read your very own history which is penned down by several Western and Pakistani scholars, not just Indians. Fortunately, India today is united against predominantly bad governance, corruption, unemployment which overwhelms our election agendas. Not a single political party since Independence ever won majority by mere rhetoric against Pakistan. But can you say the same? I think no, you can't.
