United States, China, Europe and Japan race to the Exaflop Supercomputer

Here is Mumbai's daily electricity consumption:

"MUMBAI: The city is guzzling power faster than it can be supplied or distributed, and our thirst for electricity is increasing at an alarming rate. By 2015, our daily power consumption will be 886 MW more than the 3,288 MW we consume today. This is more than what the city consumed in a sixyear period from 2006 to 2012 where the daily rise in consumption was 733 MW. The state power transmission authorities have predicted that in 2015 we will be guzzling 4,174 MW daily , while our current consumption stands at 3,288 MW.

Look at sources hereunder:
June 2013 Indian's no of supercomputers in Top500 was 11
June 2013 | TOP500 Supercomputer Sites

One year later on June 2014: it has reduced to 9 on the list
June 2014 | TOP500 Supercomputer Sites

The article in your above quoted post was published in September 2013
The above was summarised in wikipedia: TOP500 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Unless you know the new result which is due to come out soon for the November issue of Top500 list, It was you who has been giving false hopes to India, false and outdated information to the board

You wont slip a chance of presenting false information to upgrade India while putting down China 8-)

Now for the "failed" Chinese Mars Mission, it was quoted in @bobsm 's link @# 43 which stated

"Phobos-Grunt was also carrying China's first attempt at a Mars orbiter, along with an experiment run by the United States-based Planetary Society designed to study how a long journey through deep space affects micro-organisms.

China wrote off its orbiter, a tiny craft called Yinghuo-1, as a total loss in mid-November. "

and additionally:
Yinghuo-1 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and also
Missions to Mars | The Planetary Society which said:

"Past Missions
Yinghuo-1
Future Mars orbiter (China)
Launch: January 15, 2012, piggybacked on Phobos-Grunt
Yinghuo-1 crashed with Phobos-Grunt."

On 11 Supercomputers, you are furnishing my given source?
Such despair?
i also said these figures numbers change every four or six months...
Giving you sources to back up myself, I could not spin.

And on your failure of Mars Mission, unlike India which used its own rocket, China used a Ukrainian one.
What about that? You were not fully prepared on your own?

But anyway that is off topic here.
Other thinga have been hammered out on this.
So stay calm.

your information on the indian "11" was 1 year outdated from June 2014 publication
The reason for our Mars Mission "failure" was clearly explained multiple times from various reputable sources in my quote above
Our rockets are better than India's.
Yinghuo-1 - our Mars probe rode on Russian spacrcraft on a hitch-hike to save cost
I hope you can stop your "super-spin" at once! 8-)

This happens when the leaving standard of people out pace their growth. India is third largest power producing country still we counters deficit. We shall be a surplus nation by 2020 when our 150000 MW power station under construction are complete and start delivering power.

You are ignorant and have no idea what you are talking about. Since you have brought in the issue of power, let me tell you something about it.
India has a total power capacity of over 270 GW with another 100GW under construction. The peak demand in India is just under 200 GW. The rest of the power are what we call over capacity, created due to massive bubble in Indian power sector.

Power is not an issue!!!

.
Indeed, power will be the ultimate challenge, not only for India, but for others who are thinking of building this machine.

Yes, but smart Government should well-plan their national energy consumption well on a macro-scale before any energy guzzling projects like a "132-exaflop" supercomputer are even announced

India is energy starved to feed the basics of its people and still they appear to be constantly crying in high-sounds of supa powa this or that. They are putting carts before weak horses.:coffee:

Future tenses as usual
Even if true, the figures are for whole nation of India, yes or no?
We are talking a "132-exaflop" whose energy requirement is larger than Mumbai's daily consumption
Where do you find $ to run the electriciy guzzler when your fx reserve is relatively small and you have consistent budget deficits 8-)
