Unban Pork in Pakistan?

In Dubai you easily get pork so its not like that pork is not at all available in any muslin dominated country....

I read quite a few comments about wild boars being killed to eat in Pak....wow...they are so rare and taste bludy yummy......unfortunately, in India its a crime if you kill a wild boar..kind of protected species heading towards extinction..

IMO, eating any meat other than human's is not haram but we live in society and should respect each others feelings....i wont appreciate if cows are killed or its meat being sold in front of hindus..similarly, Muslims should not be made eat pork (unlike Hindus, Muslim dont see Pig as sacred but an animal which is unclean hence its meat should not be eaten..basic difference)...Chinese eat everything as they are atheist .... So, its religion that decide what you should not eat in case of Hindu & Muslims!

The reason to avoid pork is that it needs to be thoroughly cooked, or You risk Trichinosis
I have never ever heard about anyone suffering from it, so the risk is close to non-existant here.
The domestic pigs, normally do not contain the parasite.

The Qu'ran basically says:
It is forbidden to eat pork, but if you have no alternatives, it is OK to eat pork.

This means that it is possible to eat pork and remain a Muslim.
If you have a choice between eating pork, or wait one year, before eating something else
you have to eat pork or die. Clearly the Qu'ran accepts eating pork in this case.
If you shorten the time to a couple of months or weeks, you start entering territory,
where you can still survive, while beeing tortured.
The other extreme is where you have a choice of non pork and pork dishes, and choose pork.
Does that make You a non-Muslim?

If it does, then assume a point T where where non pork becomes available.
If T = T0, you remain a Muslim if eating pork
If T < T0, you become a non-Muslim by eating pork.
Difference is a fraction of a second.

Different people can react differently to starvation, so defining a single time for
all people may be convenient for people that want to judge others,
is non compliant with the thinking behind the rule.

I think that logically, you can remain a Muslim, even if You eat pork.
Everyone eating pork, including those that eat pork fully compliant with the Qu'ran
may be "punished" by Trichinosis.
It is not so, that you do not get Trichinosis if you only eat pork out of neccessity.

I doubt there is any additional punishment.

People just don't get it. Where will you stop. Today we have alcoholic drinks being sold and drank by Muslim and non-Muslim population. Why? Did the Pakistani goverment Halal it for Muslims also? No! It was halaled for non-Muslims. Then monkey see, monkey do took over. Now monkeys are drinking Sharab in all over Pakistan. Human is by nature, monkey see monkey do. Monkey see jeans, t-shirts, monkey desire and aspire jeans and t-shirts, and monkey get jeans and t-shirts. When ever rich and afluent, Muslim, nominal Muslim, or non-Muslim, do something the peasents want to emulate them. They don't see it as Halal Haram thing. They see it symbol of status and standing and prestege. So they copy it. First generation might not emulate the rich ones ... but generation that grows up watching rich ones doing something wants and will do it. Girl dancers at weddings, shaking their butts and breasts, its so common now, even children take part in them. How and why did it start. Rich and powerful people started it. They got actresses and prestine looking whores for the weddings and guess then what happened? Now the peasent, who quote and quote are Muslims, and will not let their own daughters do anything as such, are getting strippers and whores for their sons wedding.

No one will ever realise it in this age of TOLERANCE and true kindness, and compassion. The way forward is secularism, atheism, and Kufr in Pakistan. How ever much I hate it, dislike it, and it hurts, the future generations will be more Kafir and very silently and sneakily Muslim. When a society starts a march toward something one man, a group, cannot do anything to prevent them. It is job of Nabi/Rasool, and no Nabi/Rasool coming now, only destruction is coming, you wait, I wait.

You are right that if its matter of life and death than you are allowed to eat prohibited food , but thing is that if you have a alternative like fish,chicken,and meat than eating pork will be considered sin .
In my personal opinion, Islam prefer to protect a human life over everything so anything that can result of taking human life is bendable , if you are close to dying than you can or drink haram ( prohibited ) food\drinks .but these kind of situation occur very rarely or close to none .
