UAE summons Iraq envoy to protest Saudi terror accusations

The relations with the cry-baby al-Maliki are non-existent. When it comes to other Iraqi politicians they are ranging from normal, good to very good.

It's funny because al-Maliki's family is originally from the Eastern Province. He belongs to the Al-Ali tribe which is a branch of the Bani Malik tribe. Qahtanite. They are fairly new converts to Shia Twelver Islam as with many other Arab tribes in Southern Iraq that converted in the past 300-100 years.

Iraq has an embassy in Riyadh and a general consulate in Jeddah.

We have an ambassador to Iraq but he acts from Amman. That's basically a slap in the face to al-Maliki and he has cried about it in the past.

The relations will improve with another PM but things need to settle in the region. Right now the two governments are at odds for obvious reasons but when it comes to people-people relations and the deep historical relations then it's a shame that we have not better relations on a state level.
But that's politics.

Anyway we know that UAE is a brother country that will always stand with us. So no surprise.

^ I guess the Iraqi ambassador to Saudi Arabia doesn't represent the current Iraq regime otherwise he would have been kicked by now?
