This crisis was complicated and involved with the foreign powers, powerful HK local elites and Taiwan. Most of the frontlines rioters are pro independent. Housing problem was just one of the triggers. I don't want to say too much about the chinese strategy here, just pay attention to what CCP is doing right now.But this elite holds a lot of HK property. Are they slapping their own face if things goes wrong in Hong Kong? I thought large number of protesters are those who cant afford housing and felt no hope in future as housing is a beyond reach. Many arrested protester claim they dont mind being jailed as they have no place they called home.
There are always protests in HK, since peaceful protest is allowed. HK is also known as Protest city by our own people.Someone tell me one thing
Would there be protests without extradition bill ?
