U.S. Flies B-52s Through China’s Expanded Air Defense Zone

what I mean is aircraft fuel is expensive. don't need to send fighter jet if the B52s were just edgewise flying ADIZ.radar recogenize is enough.

,more like if PLAAF had bothered with it, next time the USAF bombers would fly into the so called "Chinese ADIZ" with fighter escorts.

Do nothing. Before we head over to the area, the US B-52s are gone. It was a quick maneuver by the US.

That means that either the Chinese radars weren't able to see the USAF bombers, or the PLAAF has a very poor response time, which is it? o_O

.
The B-52s were over the disputed area for about an hour. How much time do you think your country needs to react?
The time to detect and the time to fly an airplane that long of a distance, it would be over on hour and US B-52s is already heading back to Guam base.

To provide you a comparison, few months back Pakistan scrambled its jets due to two Indian Mig-21s violating the airspace of Pakistan in the border for mere 2 minutes. So is that what you are claiming that your airplanes needs more time to react? Also I don't hear a peep from the Chinese officials about the violation of the air space except claiming that they monitored the flying of B52s.

I REPEAT!!! An ADIZ is NOT a territorial airspace!

we need more budget to PLAAF.

our official media response is always later. and first response are always in chinese. no one else can read it. this we have to improve.

Go ahead to bring up the relevant topic and call out their stupidity if any person, whether Chinese or not, made an erroneous comment. But the trouble here is you BRING up some irrelevant shit to defend that Indian guy.

And you are full of yourself and bullshitting. If you really want to talk about stealth and low radar observable on J-20, I advise you head over to sinodefence forum on the Air Force section to talk about, even though I don't know what your previous argument is with the Chinese here on PDK.
I am a member there, although I have not been active much, and I taught them a few things about basic radar detection and 'stealth'. Cleared up a lot of misconceptions, just like I did here.

We need better English speaking official to help our American media buddy catching up with real time faster.

But as you can see from the pic, USAF scrambled its jets and escorted the Russian Bomber out of its ADIZ.

What did China do? :o:

I have a feeling there is more to this than meets the eye.

CPC uses clever tactics for strategic gain. They did it with the island dispute with the Philippines and the Diaoyu island dispute with Japan. Japan used to monitor the islands and kicked out Chinese vessels all the time but now our vessels freely roam around the Diaoyu Islands. That shows we have changed the status quo and strategically gained.

The CPC would have known that the US would do such a thing knowing even Russia does this to the US ADIZ.

It might be aimed at the Chinese people to show the US is the enemy (since many liberals still have pro-US views) by invading Chinese ADIZ.

It could be to justify higher military spending within the CPC or to externally justify China's military buildup since others violate our ADIZ we are justified in our military buildup.

It could be a way for Chinese aircraft to disregard the ADIZ of Japan and the US seeing as the US and Japan disregard China's ADIZ. We can say, you don't respect our ADIZ so we don't respect your ADIZ.

It could be to show how silly the ADIZ is when no country can really stop anyone from entering the ADIZ and identifying them.

Believe me, the CPC won't do such a thing if they didn't have an end goal in mind for establishing this ADIZ. China's goals might be different from what the US and Japan perceives.

This ADIZ was only established only a couple of days ago, so maybe in the future we will actually send fighters to intercept aircraft entering the ADIZ. Who knows.

I think we have to wait and see what the actual goal was of this and how things pan out. It might not be able simple as many people think. This is a strategic game being played out between China, Japan and the US. The US 'pivot' to Asia got the game started.

What is your beef with low observable radar? Give me a general debate. I do not read what you argue over here.

No beef. I am a proponent of it. And if you want to learn, just go over to the Chinese defense sub-forum here. There is much to learn and you will thank me for it.

@j20dragon My "alert" says you quoted my post, but I cant seem to find it anywhere?

Looks like your government disagrees with you with their clear declaration below.

"We reiterate that the purpose of China's approach is to defend national sovereignty and territorial airspace security, maintain the order of airspace flight, and is an effective exercise of our right of self defence," defence ministry spokesman Yang Yujun said in a statement.
