Actually, there ARE shia armed groups in Pakistan. They started out as proxies for Iran against it's proxy war with KSA after the Iranian revolution. Most of the ones that exist today are pro-government, and help fight against the Taliban.
The better question would be have the shia armed groups ever turned their weapons on sunnis or gone on sunni-killing spree or rampage? In this we sunnis seem to take the lead. Its just a general observation. Shias rarely or never take up arms against innocent sunni civilians in Pakistan. There is a sipah e muhammed and tehreek e jafria but they have only engaged in killing members of the lashkar e jhangvi or sipah e sahaba which if you ask me... are better off dead. Personally I think these disgruntled and disenfranchised shia youth should be given jobs in the police to better hunt down TTP proxy lashkar e jhangvi.
I do not think so. And we need to be mindful of shia interests too as we have the highest shia population than any other country, including Iran. Also many sunnis too are against aligning with saudi in Yemen. I am one. Also check the poll on express tribune. 80% respondents were against us going for war in Yemen.Who, the PPP? I think everyone, including hardcore pro-Iran shia parties would agree to sending troops to protect ksa's borders.
