M.Ali Jinnah wanted a secular republic without naming the religion.
The name ''Islamic'' came in 1955 i believe, long after Jinnah.
I guess it was 1973 constitution when it was made Islamic Republic , before that there were open ads of liquors on billboards , casinos and wine shops. But I agree with you, Jinnah wanted a liberal country with Islamic social justice principles. Hope to see some defence deals being signed on Erdogan's trip. Long live Turkey-Pak friendship.
Neptune has explained a bit but left some areas un-touched.
Mate, for nationalist Turks like me, Neptune and so many others, our ultimate dream is to establish Turan. Great Turkic state or Turkic States Union (Turkey, Azerbaijan, TRNC, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan). We know it's a very very distant dream but we would like to see some effort from the government.
Brother you can always establish regional cooperative institutions with Turkic countries like CIS or EU.
