Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Interesting.....seems another bloody conflict is brewing up in Iraq after ISIS debacle. Hopefully ISIS won't use the chaos to regroup and unleash more hell in Iraq. Since if there is a war between the Kurds and Iraqi Military it will be a very long one, judging by the fact that even Saddam couldn't completely crush them per se.

.
Saddam couldn't completely crus
What ?
Saddam was to erase almost complete Kurd population. Turkey accepted 1.5 Million Kurd refugees at Özal time.
ISIS is a artificial made bastard terror organization. Did you read Balkan investigative journalists , that Azeri Cargo Air SILK air flew more than 300 times weapons from Bulgaria and other countries. Once at Varna ammo exploded and 2 US military were heavy injured. This weapons were delivered to ISIS, PKK/PYD and other global terror focuses. This reminds me global weapon smuggling after SU collapse. Do you believe in that
ISIS fought only with the weapons captured in Mossul? Remember there is the treaty from 1926 in Ankara between UK and Turkey. This gives Turkey the right to intervene if Iraqi borders collaps and territorial integrity is in danger.

Well, Saddam was ruthless with the Kurds and he suppressed, killed and gassed as much of them as he could(unfortunately together with Shia Muslims) . However, the kurdish problem still persisted and never went away. It's very difficult to completely crush a region who aspires for self determination (except maybe you eradicate them completely or to a minimum), we found this out the hard way with Ireland. So why not give them their referendum or self rule?

Well, I've red many "reports and new articles "about ISIS. Some say it's the U.S/U.K/West who supports them, others it's Saudi Arabia/qatar/Arab states, many say Turkey has been their main sponsor/ human resource supplier and logistics base, others even say Iran/Israel are behind them etc etc. It depends on which version you want to believe. There's a report/news article" to support all of the above. Lol :D

Huh.....not sure the treaty we signed as an Imperial power with Turkey back then is still valid today?

Buddy. They have already a regional Government and Parliament. From the 1960's on Turkey supported the Kurds in Iraq to protect themselves. Do you want UK or Spain divided?
Pacta sund servanda. The treaty was signed between Turkish Republic and the United Kingdom and was never cancelled or questioned.
You are a smart member. The only reason in the chess game is to create a puppet Kurdish state connected via Syria to Mediterannean and bypass Turkey for rich Iraqi Gas and Oil reserves; and of course for the security of Israel. Later they will try to extend this state with Turkish and Iranian territory. Google for " Great Near East Project", first published at a NATO meeting in Napoli.

To be honest, I won't force people who don't want to be part of our country to remain with us by force. If the vast majority of N.Ireland are that keen for independence/referendum to the point of taking up arms then I don't see why our government shouldn't give them the right to choose through a referendum (like the one we have them before they became part of U.K away from Ireland), same with the way we gave Scottish people the right to vote for independence through a referendum(even though our government was not under any pressure to do so), they opted to remain though.
Even the brutal Sudanese regime had to finally give the S.Sudanese people the right to hold referendum for independence after decades of fighting a senseless war.

So i personally, I believe there is no crime in a region wanting to be independent. It is not a crime at all. It should be a right to be able to choose to be honest. Afterall, there is no country on earth that was created from day one the way it is today. Countries changed boundaries all the time throughout history depending on political, local conditions . Not the end of the world.

Turkey should intervene in Iraq then, since they have the mandate.

As I said before there is an article for anything you want to be believe in. It depends on which one you fancy most. :D

It should be a right to be able to choose to be honest.

Theory and pratice is different in democracies and depend on regions.
Churchill: "Democracy is the best system between all evil." ( I hope it is right translated).
I will present you examples.

Germans are not allowed to make referandums. ( Constution GG forbids it strictly ). If people would be given this right, they would leave Euro-Zone and maybe also EU.

USA, Japan, Singapur and many others have death penalty. China occupies Tibet and opresses all minorities. They are all respected partners of the EU.
But if the question is focused on Turkey the EU is speaking only BS, blakckmailing and lamenting.
I believe and hope that Barzani will cancel this illegal referandum, which is against Iraqi constitution and also irrational.
It would result in a long , bloody war with the Arabs and this landlocked peace on earth would suffer.

Ye you say you don't mind just like any Europeans because Scotland, Ireland etc have always been seperate for the most part from England, we are not taking about a federation or union breaking away here but an integral part of the country.

If Pakistanis in Bradford or Foreigners in London wanted a seperate state from England you would be barking mad at the idea and the government would put them on a lock down not to mention the media campaigns and racist attacks which would follow.

On topic, I'm glad SAA have blocked YPG/PKK movements southwards, all the PKK trolls of ua maps have disappeared.

What makes you think the goal is to completely crush them.

The major reason Baghdad makes an issue out of this isn't due to them wanting independence, it's that they want to quickly run away with area's whilst Iraq's forces are still busy battling IS, these area's are not Kurdish, nor part of the KRG

. . .
Biji Referendu
Celal Talabani was also a traitor against Iraq and Turkey. He suffered for months in coma in Germany.
The regional countries will manage this crisis together. If you want with Turkish military assistance. The KRG located at least 1000 PKK/YPG terrorists in
Kirkuk. I predicted this alliance.
