Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

U should get in touch with assad and i mean face to face like turkish mit, tsk, jandarma meet him and work things out.

Military option is always the last option, look at the Cyprus war
PKK is a Terror Organisation. Cyprus was recognised Nation which has a permanent chair in UN. If you are trying to show yourself as a master çomar, you are doing it very well.

You don't negotiate with Terrorists, you kill Terrorists o_O

So PKK in Afrin is ready to occupy Idlib under coalition airforce coverage.. o_O
They entered Syria with regular army for ISIS and after all HTS is Al Qaeda so not only the rats in Afrin but regular army and we know that if somewhere regular army goes you cant go there you cant bomb there you can just watch how they are establishing a military base. This is very threatening situation and its critical for our government to react on time. Otherwise it will become very difficult and all the effort in operation Euphrates Shield will be for nothing.

We should have cleaned Afrin 3 years ago, lets say FETÖ stopped Erdoğan. Well, there was no more excuse after 15 July, and we still didn't even start military operation against Afrin o_O

I am hundred percent sure that government knows the critical situation of Afrin, but they do not act for purpose. They want to see PKK Republic next to our borders because Erdoğan government is retarded.

I am not sure why they dont act it must be some reason. For me Tal Rifat and Idlib are critical. Afrin is very difficult not on the phase of cleansing but after that. The situation will be very difficult because the locals there are pro PKK and we will have problems with them. I say take Tal Rifat clean Idlib and establish a couple of bases there and we will see who will be brave enough to bomb turkish soldiers other than Assad without permission. After taking Idlib if there is more provocation then take the whole Afrin and take some turkmen and arabs and get them settled there. Than oppress the PKK supporters making them leave the place and give the ones who wish to work with Turkey high place in the society.

It's pretty easy actually. When you start bombing terrorist targets in villages, Pro-Turkey villagers will run to Turkey, Pro-PKK villagers will run to SAA held Aleppo city. After you clean the region, Pro-PKK villagers will not return.

That's the summary of Syrian Civil War. If one side capture other side's territory, other side's supporters won't return, only your supporters return.

I am foreseeing big problems for Aleppo :D .

Just to clarify since the post was deleted I wasn't saying talk to terrorists, we agree they should be killed. Merely stating there are most probably talks with international players, Russia, US, Iran etc

MAKING SENSE OF TURKEY’S SYRIA STRATEGY: A ‘TURKISH TRAGEDY’ IN THE MAKING

Following Turkish foreign policy has never been more exciting and terrifying. With its ever-increasing footprint in Syria, Turkey is now a full-fledged party to the civil war. The risks associated with the Turkish presence are multi-faceted. Incursions into Syria can trigger not only a direct war between Turkey and whatever is left of the Assad regime, but an indirect one with Iran and possibly Russia.

The more likely scenario involves Turkey in open conflict (not only occasional shelling and air strikes) with the People’s Protection Units (YPG, sometimes referred to as PYD, its political arm)), the Syrian Kurdish militant group with organic ties to Turkey’s arch-nemesis the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK). Such a contingency would not only complicate the already convoluted Syrian conflict, but also spread the Syrian civil war to Turkey, and even Iraq, where the PKK established a strong presence in the strategic Sinjar province.

In addition, if Turkey ends up in open conflict with the YPG in Syria, the United States, with its direct support for YPG in its fight against the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIL), will find itself stuck between a rock and a hard place. In the best-case scenario, already fragile relations between Turkey and the-United States will deteriorate to a point where Turkey’s NATO membership will be questioned either by Ankara or Washington (most likely both). In the worst-case scenario, the Syrian civil war will witness U.S. and Turkish forces, intentionally or unintentionally, targeting each other’s military assets, including personnel, with casualties mounting on each side.
