Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

I asked about the source about Turkish jet shooted down by Greek airforce missile in International Airspace, not asking greek propaganda about so called "airsiace violation".

Maybe try reading the source next time. Like I said, I'm here to debate the operation against Isis. I don't have time for these childish off topic debates.

But here is a quote from the aviationist.

In the past some of these mock dogfights did not end well. In Jun. 1992 a Greek Mirage F1 crashed during an aerial engagement with a Turkish F-16. In February 1995, a TuAF F-16 crashed after being intercepted by Greek Mirage F1s. In Oct. 1996, a HAF Mirage 2000 fired an R.550 Magic II and shot down a Turkish F-16D that had violated the Greek airspace.

On May 23, 2006, two HAF F-16s intercepted a TuAF RF-4 escorted by two F-16s: the subsequent dogfight resulted in a midair collision between a TuAF F-16 and a HAF F-16: whilst the Turkish pilot ejected safely, the Greek pilot died in the incident.

Its also called patrolling after Russian planes violating the airspace numerous times, fact is they have been warned more than enough and given enough time to change their direction which they didnt listen to.

Because Turkey is innocent to violating laws lol.

Turkey violates whenever they see the possibility, they don't violate when the opposing force is capable of delivering a strike that hurts them.

Shut up and clean the shit of your country then talk about who is violating who. When Turkey does something against PKK its Iraq when we argue about Iraq is helping PKK its KRG. Stop paying the terrorists monthly and clean them from there or forget about discussing North Iraq as part of Iraq we will instead talk about it with the name of Kurdistan and its government. We violate KRG airspace.

'Syrian' police force, trained in Turkey (LOL) says long live Turkey and Erdogan. Butbutbut... what about long live Syria.. thought t was Syrian police force.

So we need Turkey to train iraqi forces so that they have to say long live Turkey and Erdogan during graduation? Nice

if you were that influential you would've forgotten Baghdad long ago, instead Turkey has no choice but to abide and keeps attempting to reach a deal with Baghdad. This wouldn't be needed if US congress vote on bypassing Baghdad in 2015 and 2016 was approved. it means you abide by daddy USA like the rest of the region.

What i said was that Turkey violates laws all the time, that's a fact.

Turkey dont abide Turkey have joint interests and act depends on them. If Turkey abide USA now you were not to see the joint actions with Russia in Syria and kind of the peace talks with Iran and Iraq.

No, we should not trust Assad.
After all of this Assad will certainly accuse Erdogan and Turkey (and maybe he will be right), I'm sure he will not fight PKK/YPG, and let them have a little country or federation where they can plan their attack against Turkey. His father has done the same thing with PKK 1998, and they didn't stop it before Turkish military menace Syria to war.

Eiter we must have something to negociate with Assad (territory certainly) or we must make it so that Syria would be nothing more than trash for 50 years at least.

We simply dont have military , or finance or political leaders to dictate our goals in Syria. Everybody laugh at us. My uncle was a veteran from cyprus he was a paratrooper even he thinks Taf is failed

If we go home right now, KCK and ISIS will gangbang FSA in Azaz-Jarablus pocket, which will be a disaster to have a Terrorist State next to our borders.

Trained Syrian Police has been sent to Jarablus

What is it with this Cerablus? This is one tiny town that doesn't even matter.

This might be a good start but if it doesn't spread to other Euphrates Shield operation areas, it will become pretty useless to be honest.

We need like a 2-3k police force at least and definitely more militias to fight for us.

l mean it can't be that hard to find some manpower since we have over 3,5M of them living in our country and nearly half of those Syrians are under 20.

We're gonna have many casualties in El-Bab if we keep sending our own troops.

what can we do ? we cant take al bab with this force. Morale is down. We dont have the numbers or will to take al bab . On top of that Erdoğan changes his mind every second ! I hope we take al bab believe me but in this situation this operation is doom to fail. If assad take bab we could still take manbij anyway and we have a land connection with damascus

^^ We didnt even try to siege Al-Bab. We tried to capture the city in one side, which is stupid. We didn't even surround al-bab. Al-bab is not hard to capture city, it is a city that being supplied by men, ATGM and SVBID from southern runway.

Block the runway, and city will be yours in one month.
