If you remember the last operation the Turks were sending convoys to the border for weeks even months before any operation began. Turks are waiting for all preparations before they start operation. If you start a battle without preparation you are being drawn into the battle and it is generally in conditions not favourable to yourself. So the strike against the Turks was in order to draw them into a battle that they were not presently in the condition to fight. If you are dumb, then you will engage. If you are wise you will hold the line until the right moment.

Why don't TSK deploy Hawk batteries?

I don’t say you are wrong, actually much of what you say is quite reasonable and probably right from tactical point of view. Preparation is quite important but SAA and Russia are bombing Idlib and advancing there since many months. Shouldn’t Turkey be prepared until now?

Yet Turkey has a 1000km long border with Syria with much of Assad’s bases and infrastructure in Turkey’s range. F*cking Qamishli is right on Turkey’s border with enough Assadist targets to hit there but everything is calm. Even without flying a single plane inside Syrian territory we have enough weapons to strike them and make a statement. What are all those rocket launchers, cruise and ballistic missiles we have in our inventory for? What are those satellites we sent to space and UAVs we developed good for if you will never use them? By now Turkey should have had enough info about SAA targets around Syria with fire destroying enough of them to make Asadists think twice before their next move.

If Assad or anyone else had some respect and fear of us they wouldn’t hit us in the first place. Now there are Tweets that a Turkish convoy have been hit again. In the end everything you will hear again is some third grade AKP official making statement in-front of the medias how “we had agreements in Sochi and Astana and blah blah blah. We responded to the fire blah blah blah”. At the same time the Big Guys are hiding in the Palace.

It’s easy to make some halfway Operations with Russians and Americans giving you the green light to go... In the end when they said “enough” the Operations were halted quickly. As a result you have YPG sending car bombs on a daily bases from Tel Rifat to Afrin and Al Bab and from the rest of their territory to Ras al Ain and Tel Abyad.
