MKEK 76/62mm Naval Gun project has reached the final stage. The fire control system to be used in Naval Gun is developing by ASELSAN.

Features of MKEK 76/62 mm Naval Gun:

• Optimal max range, 16 km.
• Barrel diameter is 76 mm and length 4700 mm.
• Barrel has water cooling system.
• The rate of fire is 80 rounds / min.
• The weapon system weighs 7500 kg without ammunition and 8500 kg with ammunition.
• The weapon loader system has a rotating ammo rack with 70 ammunition capacity.
• It is effective against air, land and sea targets.

Foldable winged UCAVs for TCG ANADOLU

Alper Köse, Head of the Marine Vehicles Department of the Presidency of Defense Industries, who shared important information about the TCG ANADOLU Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship, which is planned to be taken into the Navy inventory in 2021; He said that TCG ANADOLU Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship will be deployed with foldable wing Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and that these UCAVs can land / take off from a distance of approximately 100 meters. STM-OPV-2100

At the latest reports shared by the Ministry of National Defense: The final(?) design of the OPV corvettes revealed. The design is very similar to STM's OPV-2100 Offshore Patrol Ship, developed over the MILGEM ADA class corvette design. However, there are some differences. OPV-2100 design has a 30mm Remote Controlled Weapon System at the bow of the ship, while the image shared by the Ministry of National Defense shows a 76mm main gun. There are also differences on the ship-mast and radar suite of the ships to be built. The project schedule was also updated. Within this scope, the first ship's delivery date pulled up to 2023, from 2024.

As I understand it, the superstructure sections between Funnels and Mast have been redesigned especially for the placement of modular payload section. Considering the location determined for the modular payloads, we can think that OPV boats can also have ASM capable if needs. Another obvious difference is that RHIB / intervention boats and necessary crane equipment placements carried to the upper deck amidships. It is seen that the entire superstructure, from under the bridge to the helicopter hangar, is lying uninterrupted on a single line. Another detail, there is a ramp probably for the boats and towed sonar-ready layout in the ship's stern. All of these on design shows that the Turkish-type OPV boats are considering as a more flexible and capable platform within the scope of special force operations, as well as an ASuW/ASW capable, if needed. Depending on sonar configuration, it can also contribute to creating of underwater tactical picture.

Unlike sister ships, there is no steel pier-fender block in the middle of the TCG ANADOLU well dock. In this way, two Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) will be able to serve on the ship.
