What's new

Turkish Naval Programs

No bro...Turkey has already been trying to order some second-hand attack helicopters as a stop-gap solution until T-129's join into turkish Army so We clicked the doors of USA many times to order W class Cobra helicopters but They have rejected us.. That's why We have to steer different adresses to order those helos...

It is NOT the t-129 that crashed but the a129 There was a photos(before and after the crash)that was compared and it was the a129.
The own modified a129 by italy.

Those are initial steps of Turkish defence industry. About 2015, We will see much more capable and strategic systems being developed by Turkish defence industry from air defence to stand off anti-shipping and A-G missile systems, destroyers, big Apar radars, Tanks...etc

i think there is no conflict b/w turkey and another country.

Having a national defence industry efforts has nothing to do with a conflict probabilities against another country in region. Let gaining aversivenes enough against enemies aside, It is 21. century style respectability, popularity reason for all countries (Technology) so The countries that want to mark own signiture on World, have to develop such things on his own.

Besides, Despite Turkish nation know how painfull wars are (We have gained experiences enough with PKK conflicts), We, Turks like Wars, When the diplomatic solutions went into trouble against enemies and When The nation called army to attack another country like Cyprus 1974, The army have to perform its job perfect...

Anti-shipping missiles are a littile bit complicated for our programs.

-Roketsan-Kongsbers talk has been finished cause of disagreement of partnership offers for NSM missiles...

-SAAB-Diehl is offering great technology transfer for their RBS-15 Mk3 missiles, If we choose them...

-USA Harpoon missiles are on the table but I do not suppose that USA will give permission for a technology transfer..

Besides, There is an ongoing Anti-shipping missile development program called Atmaca in Turkey. This program has been started in 2008 and It is aimed to develop a state of art anti-shipping missiles haveing a range of 70km. Despite 70km looks a littile bit small range for an anti-shipping missile, This range has been described for Aegean environment.
