That illustration is of AEGIS/AN/SPY-1 radar coverage, it's not missile range.

Depends on target type and weapons battle ships would be equipped with.

I don't think TF-2000 wil replace the Yavuz class. TF will be only warship in his class in the Turkishnavy, They are looking something like SM3 missile for the ship, you need a powerfull radar what we don't have or they are getting Ant-spy1 radar for the ship.

All the other class ships like Yavuz will be replaced with Istanbul class.

TF2000's will also protect LHD, patrol places like gulf of persia and indian ocean. Their mission won't be just wandering near our coast. Four of them won't be enough.

-450+km radius range to 360 degree coverage

-AESA electronic attack system on 360 degree coverage for hundreds of km range called Ares-2N
-Mast satellite communication
-Illumination radar for semi-active missile guidance on 360 degree sector

-CAFRAD is the direct competitor of AN-SPY-1D AEGIS radar system in terms of range and capabilities.
-The derivative of CAFRAD will be used for Long range Early warning land radar system as well.
-The Long Altitude SAM missiles will also be guided by the numerical dataes to be received by same radars.
-It is the first time Turkish Armed Forces benefits the impressive capabilities of such a strategic system all Land and especially Naval platforms.
-The total missile payload of one TF-2000 frigate (If We consider ESSM Block-2) will be bigger than total Greek Air Force ready to fire SAM missiles which was deployed on their mainland.
-No ME countries can compete with such a strategic product along with capabilities to be gained thanks to CAFRAD project. It is not important the name of countries. Turkey is seriously planning to lead the region When It comes to reveal such strategic products.

I class frigate will be a modern multi-purpose frigate which is going to replace current obsolete frigates.

16 Atmaca SSM(250km range), 16 cell MK-41 launchers with ESSM-Block-2 + Hisar missiles, CIWS, Hizir Torpedo defence system, 250km range smart-S mk-2 radar with Aselsan T/R modules.

Turkish type Assault boat is in final phase. The production of 70m boats are planned in 2016 (10 boats). This project aims to have a Turkish type assault boat having a similar firepower to a frigate on 60knots speed. This design uses a CAFRAD derivative radar system on a stealth hull.

First it was 4,then 4+2,after that 4+4 and now back to 4 again?
Btw,how is that going to work when we need 4 for coverage of the territory, at least one for defence of the LHD group and another for other groups or international missions?

Bro, You know the numbers can be renewed/updated When the production commenced so I suppose It will be 6 instead of 8. I mean 4+2 is the best option for me...

I wish they would have given the responsibility of building the last two Ada class to a private shipbuilder. Maybe the process would have been a wee bit faster by opening up space for the i class.
