Turkey’s first indigenous solar panel factory to be established in Ankara ( $450 million )

A consortium composed of Turkish Kalyon and South Korean Hanwha is set to build the first solar panel factory in Turkey ...... The factory will be built in an industrial zone in Ankara

the initial production capacity of the plant will be 500 MW, but that the plan is to raise its capacity gradually to 1,000 MW

the production in the factory should start by the end of 2018
for the production of ingot and wafer, for the production of solar cell and production of solar panels

the modules produced by this facility will be used for the construction of the 1,000 MW solar power plant to be built in Konya-Karapinar, Turkey, the largest single-site plant in the world

New soda ash factory makes Turkey largest producer in Europe ( $1,5 billion )

One of the world's largest soda ash production facilities, Kazan Soda Elektrik Üretim A.Ş which will be the world's largest mining solution and Turkey's biggest cogeneration plant with 380 MW and 400 tons of steam production, opened in ANKARA ( January 15, 2018 )

Turkey meets 10% of the world's soda ash needs and Europe receives 50% of its soda ash needs from Turkey

Kazan Soda and Beypazarı Soda Ash facilities are exported to countries around the world and provide a $800 million net foreign currency per year inflow into Turkey

Also known as sodium carbonate, soda ash is the 10th most commonly used chemical in the world. It is generally used as a raw material in the production of glass, detergents, and cleaning products and as an additive in food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and metallurgical applications

Metcap Energy aims to meet 35% of Turkish petchem needs

Turkey's Metcap Energy Investments and Qatar's Fusion Dynamics partner for $5.2 billion investment in energy and chemistry 50-50 joint venture ( 10.04.2018 )

Fully integrated Natural Gas based Chemical Plant in the Thrace Basin of Turkey ( $4 billion )

Metcap Energy Investments aims to produce 2.6 million tons of methanol and 1 million tons of light olefins for conversion to 400,000 tons of polyethylene and 600,000 tons of polypropylene per year

Turkey has an annual consumption of 2.2 million tons of polypropylene out of which the majority 2.1 million tons are imported

so Turkey's total imports will be reduced by about $ 1.4 billion

also two gas-fired power plants worth $1.2 billion will be built in Turkish cities - Karaman and Kirklareli

The total net output from the plants is set to be 1,550 MW based on 63% net efficiency

The power plants will energize the petrochemical complex generating 5% of Turkey's total electricity generation, or the equivalent energy use of around 4 million households

all projects will be completed until 2023

Petrochemical facility Project ( $1 billion )

Algeria’s state-owned oil company Sonatrach, has agreed with Turkish energy firms Ronesans and Bayegan to build a $1 billion petrochemical facility in Turkey ( 1 march 2018 )

The project, to be located in the Adana Yumurtalık Free Zone in southern Turkey, is designed to produce 450,000 tonnes of propylene per year

so Turkey's total imports will be reduced by about $550 million

Underground Gas storage expansion Projects ( $2 billion )

Turkey has secured a $1.2 billion loan in total to expand the Gas Storage Expansion Project in Tuz Gölü (Salt Lake) in Central Anatolia

The project will raise the capacity of the Tuz Gölü underground gas storage facility by 5.4 billion cubic meters per year and will help improve Turkey’s energy security and reduce the carbon intensity of the power supply

received first gas in January 2017 and the first phase of the project was prepared for gas deliveries in 2017

The Northern Marmara Natural Gas Storage Phase II Project was completed in 2016
and the facility has a 2.8 billion cubic meters of storage capacity while daily reproduction is 25 million cubic meters

The annual storage capacity of the Northern Marmara Natural Gas Storage Facility will be increased from 2.8 bcm to 5 bcm in 2020

With additional capacity expansions in two facilities, Turkey's gas storage capacity will exceed 11 billion cubic meters before 2023, making it the country with the highest storage capacity in the region

Turkey was getting closer to its goal of becoming a natural gas trade hub
thanks to the Trans Anatolian Pipeline natural gas pipeline, TurkStream natural gas pipeline and Floating Storage Regasification Units projects

Turkey is among the most important countries of the Modern Silk Road project (from China to London)

Sorry, but, hardly so.

There has been over 50 rail routes along three main corridors from China right into the Western Europe and none of them passes through Turkey.

The build-up phase has almost been completed. I am not sure there would be desire to extend a route into Turkey given that the exiting lines into the Western Europe have been active, achieved 85% utilization and did over 10.000 trips over the past four-five years between China and Western Europe.

There is not much need at the point for extra lines.

The lines go through Russia and Central Asia into Eastern and Western Europe.

There was a greater chance for Turkey to be a significant part from 2013 onwards, but, at that time, relations were not good, so, China largely abstained from Turkey as a route.

The Eti Bakır (Copper) Metal Recovery and Integrated Fertilizer Plants to be established will begin production this year. The facility will consist of five main factories and 12 auxiliary units

China's only oversea high-speed train project is the Ankara-Istanbul line ( 533 km )
China was financed Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train project with a loan of $ 750 million
and project was completed in 2014

also Turkey will build 2.000 km Edirne-Kars High-Speed Railway line project with China

Turkey can play a key role in the Modern Silk Road with its recently attracting mega investments like

-- Marmaray ( completed )
-- Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge ( completed )
-- Eurasia Tunnel ( completed )
-- Çanakkale 1915 Bridge - 2022
-- New Airport in Istanbul - 2018
-- The Edirne-Kars High-Speed Railway line ( 2.000 km )
-- Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project ( 838 km ) - completed

which is carried out together with the Chinese, is one of the important steps taken within the scope of the project

what about Trans-Caspian International Transportation Route ? such as tomato paste transporting from China to Italy by the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor)

China-Kazakhstan-the Caspian Sea-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey to Europe

and since 2013 Turkey is under attack by the US-Israel and their terrorist friends Pkk-Ypg-Isis and FETO
