Flying cars. Sounds good, but PPL licences will be needed and who will control then the airtraffic? Eurocontrol Maastricht ? Which air corridors will be reserved? It will be a dream the next 50 years.

The world has been discussing this for quite a long time and the EU work group has completed it's 4 year long study about it.

This issue is hot.

let Russia to build a normal car first, then flying car...

A successful flying car has never been built by anyone in the world, so it is a whole new area for everyone. And like anyone in the field of flying cars they are talking about a decade from now for serial production. However their design looks not to have wings at all so would be a little too dangerous to fly; as if one of the rotors happen to want to faint the whole thing would be bricked the same moment. Such designs rely on ballistic parachutes to save the occupants in such an incident wich is not reliable in many cases.

We should bring up our own designs as I see that the number of nations who doesn't have one is shrinking by the day.

When we talk about cars we should be talking about commercial realisation of a car model. Like tens of thousands of the model being sold to end users. This shows that the car is usable by a great number of people and has favorable features. One off models are always possible but doesn't show that it is a commercially viable product.

Well, everyone can make prototypes with foreign engines for prestige, the only thing Russian on that car is the body the engines is British, we know this game very well in Turkey, we see every once a while some clown claiming to be the first one to make a ''Turkish car'' and then you never hear anything about it anymore.

Things will change big time when electric vehicles start to dominate the market. As electric motors are easier to make then Internal Combustion Engines. In the case of ICE it depents to much on material science and other factors then the design of the system. However with electric motors you can aquire the technology much easier. Especially the ones already patented and patents expiring. Some great electric motors have recently been invented and commercialised by individuals and small copanies have been started that can sell products overseas. And some of them are aviation angines with very lightweight given the power they can output.

We are at the beginning of a new age in which electric motors and batteries combined with aviation will deliver unforeseen transportation experiences. Watch the drones and wait untill they are beefed up enough to come and pick you up.

I agree with that part, if there any chance for a Turkish car then a electric one but the battery is still the problematic part, theres still no real alternative to Li-Ion batteries which already has short range compared to fossile fuel.

Tesla motors of USA is the top electric car maker now. They sell 30K+ electric cars every year. And they are building the battery Gigafactory. The world will have to wait for the possible advent of lithium air batteries to kiss farewell to petrol cars.

Yeah Tesla is great and the only worthy electric car if you ask me, it has 300km range which is huge for electric cars but still fossile fuel can do at least double as much.
Apart from that tesla is on par with conventional cars on everything else or even superior such as on acceleration for exsample.
