HD-XX Regional Airliner :TAI was involved in the design of a
medium range regional airliner, which was considered to be a firm
requirement for both domestic and international markets. HD-XX, a
dual-purpose 19-30 passenger / cargo aircraft was going to be designed to
fill the gap in the regional airliner market where economy is preferred over
comfort. A full scale model of the cockpit and the fuselage section
was manufactured for the HD-XX which was designed
for use on short runways that are inconvenient for take off / land
of large aircraft. Realization of the HD-XX project, development work
depended on the government's support of the work .

Mate, i saw it with my own eyes while i was doing intern in 2007 in TAI. They told us this was a prototype, can be used for reconnaissance also can be used for engagement with machine guns added. Seems like it stayed as a prototype.

It wasn't TAI platform . The plane belongs to Sadlerair. You can get more info by google searching sadlerair piranhaman.pdf
