Russian's won't sell their most capable anti air weapon to a Nato country.

I dont bealive they would sell it even to a non-NATO country at this point.
But, but if this stunt Ryhton, EUROSAM or BEA soften their stance on ToT & other turkish demands in this field. Sharade was well worth it.

I bet following these news there was quite of bit op-eds about it being definite sign how Turkey is turning to Russia or similiar bs.

Afaik s400 is upgraded version of s300 pmu2. So it's not big deal. The real deal is s500. It's completely new and will be ready end of 2016.

Second, we will purchase a few battalions no technology transfer I think. Russia may sell it even if it's very strategic thing, sometimes you need some sacrifices to make a new begging.

Money talks and everything but everything has a price.

For me, this story has been going for a long time and I am pretty sure we will end up making our very own systems.

Russia would sell it. It would make it look like Turkey had aligned with Russia and away from NATO (true or not), which would weaken NATO. That strategic gain would be more valuable to Russia than a potential adversary having the S-400. Russian propaganda has been trying to push the "Turkey at odds with/getting kicked out of NATO" narrative lately. That's probably what Russia's aiming for with an S-400 deal. But I think you're right that this is just a charade by Turkey to get a better deal on ToT from Western air-defence makers. At least I hope so.

Maybe. Who knows, its a crazy world. And much of these high level stuff is above our paygrade - we can only speculate or in best case drop an educated guess
