Turkey's Biggest National Security Threat Is Its Economy

How do we cut these imports? What does turkey import what it cant produce in turkey? Energy ?

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/tu...d-over-54-pct-year-on-year-in-february-129540

So only for January + February this year Turkey’s exports are worth 25,3$ billion total with a 10% year on year increase.
On the other hand imports increased with 29% and reached 40,5$ billion.

So Turkey’s trade deficit reached more than 15$ billion (60 billion TL) in just two months and it’s still the beginning of the year... Then on most TVs and newspapers some as* lickers will tell the people how fast the economy is growing and how great life is in Turkey and how all westerners are jealous of Turkey and bla, bla, bla... :D
So that would be about $90B trade deficit per year if it all goes the same. Lets say $40B will come from tourism, that is still a $50B account deficit we are looking at.

That is definitely not sustainable. But I assume this extreme spending is only happening due to the incoming elections in 2019.

After 2019 elections I expect the TL to pretty much collapse against USD. Hence why I am heavily investing into USD right now :D

But apart from that I expect the economy to keep growing.

But, well you may not understand yourself. Growth rate is being calculated after excluding inflation data. Total GDP growth in ₺ currency is nearly %20 if we include inflation.

The angle you are on changes the perspective and thus the story for the audience untill a person on the right angle comes on the stage of the economy, and tell the truth.

A few figures are enough for the person on the right angle to figure out how those figures are reached, but hard to explain the science of economy to the audience to get the perpective on the right angle. As you already started to mix the angles and left me more gap to fill in.

These numbers are the shorcut to the perspective on the right angle.

The Inflation in 2017: %11.92

The Growth in 2017: %7.4

P.s: this is a choice, and has some consequences waiting for all of us.

What "angle" you are talking about? At first, you implied that "Inflation is higher than growth rate so we are in loss", which is wrong since growth is being calculated after inflation excluded from net GDP increase rate, which is nearly %20 o_O

Dont understand SHIT. So are these "problems" in the turkish economy fixable in a very short time, is the gov working on fixing these problems? Is the turkish economy growing or collapsing. i mean i dont understand anything seriously. Someone clarify me.
Collapsing unfortunately.

All indicators point towards this.
