Arrrr.. wrong answer. Erdogan threw away the fascist anti-islam rhetoric if any thing out of Turkey. Any one remembers Adnan Menderes, the last Turkish prime minster to be hanged. Why because he tried to legalize Arabic Language along with allowing mosques to call to prayer, opening mosques closed down by Ataturk and his followers. To this day the economic prosperity enjoyed in his time by Turkey is still unmatched.
Ataturk was a fascist and anti-Islam bigot who wanted to rid Turkey of its Islamic heritage. Turkey was not secular to say the least. Every form of life style was acceptable other then Islamic, not very libertarian or secular I say.
Pakistans main problem is poverty and injustice out of which all forms of extremism arise, saying religious extremism is the only problem is plain stupidity. Its about time the pseudo liberals understand this.
Erdogan has been able to achieve what Adnan Menderes failed to do so, in small increments rather then trying to push for it. In these elections although he had been declined the majority to amend the constitution so that the Armys role out of politics could be legalized. BUT I am hopeful if he continues with his policies soon Turkey will prosper even more.
Again this is not a religious revolution but a pure Turkish change where the society as a whole is accepting each component. There are no zealots involved there but tolerance and empathy.
