Turkey asks for Pakistan's help in development of next Generation Fighter

Pakistani and Turkish engineers should work together to form a truly advanced "Islamic" fighter jet. Produced almost completely by Pakistan and Turkey. My hopes are high and I acknowledge we need localized production of weapons. One good thing about Iran is that sanctions have left them with a nature to develop things by themselves. Their tech might not be advanced and a lot of defence news actually propaganda but they are moving in the right direction.

The harsh reality is with a relationship with Europe and America you never know when they will "backstab" us and keep the money we have given to them. For example the Presler Amendment and the refusal to release F16's we had paid for in 90's. So we need both an alternative foreign policy and indigenous production. We have neither, that I admit.

Indian Air & Space technology is based on German technology.

Without Kurt Tank the legendary Engineer from the third Reich India will not even able to make any Plane.

Now u are going with Russians because Indians are selling them Cheaper then Russians. The only Reason that Russia is involved you and of Course Russia needs some Allies against China with Pakistan on his back and Pakistan has the whole NATO.

So that means that India is nothing without Russia ?

I think The real subject is not about asking help for TF-X but offering JV to Pakistan in order to invest R&D together with seperating productions in accordance with work shares/promises to bring World's one of the serious stealth fighter jet to be revealed into market under the name of Muslim majority countries' Turkey/Pakistan fighter.

Instead of co-operation if some body twist the thread as 'ask help' means you are not that fit for doing yourself or Pakistan is more advanced than Turkey.

I have no Problem with that Pakistan is more advanced than Turkey.

They are my Brothers :) Even so far they love Turkish People more then their Neighbours or then even turkish People themselve.

:pakistan:

It Was Long Coming , Turkey has one of the most experienced and advance industry in Muslim countries to such a project , But Fifth gen Jet is no Joke , Pakistan Bring Many things Experience , And Chinese techs and market Which can help Turkey , Because Bigger Boys Wont be happy when newer boys try to sell their jets in market , Pakistan is the most reliable option to turkey they are also in dire need of New platforms Which Can Give extra boost which doesn't come with Viper or Thunder
And it could end being a three way Turkey China Pakistan Which will help the keep cost at bay , Mixture of Western and eastern tech which are available to these Country

P.s These kind of JV Give Pakistani engineers also sort of a free hand to try and experiment new things which will help Pakistani aeronautic industry to grow

In terms of subsystems, Turkey doesn't need any country. When It comes to interface, quality and size requirements, Iranian missiles can never find any place in any Turkish platforms.

Besides, Turkey is one of rare country having GaN production facilities for more powerfull and heat resistant radar and electronic warfare systems. This factory is developing Turkey's GaN based AESA radars for TF-X, APAR radar for frigate projects at present.

In terms of missile systems, Turkey's main missile manufacturers are carrying out two strategic air to air missile system for TF-X project in accordance with performance requirements of purely Turkish Air forces.

Goktuğ is the name of long range RF guided AA missile project. I suppose It will be similar to what was introduced in Polish defence exhibition.

Our DSI brings all the boys to the yard,
That's right, it's better than yours ;)

Just kidding, i am sure Turkey needs no help, maybe financial partnership? We all outta money bro.,

We already have an MoU signed with the Turks in this regard since late 2008/early 2009.

Close cooperation between TAI/ASELSAN and PAC/NESCOM (as well as other private manufacturers) will not just be welcome - it would be invaluable.

Many gains to be had through cooperation with a country that has proven, since our independence in 1947 - to be one of the most genuine, reliable and brotherly allies of Pakistan Nation.

Anything that encompasses cooperation with the Turks in ANY sector - and people to people contact both civilian and military between these 2 great countries - will have my full blessing.

Turkey is light-years behind those Iranian missile techology which can never find their way into your requirement.
As for Turkey not needing any country  You people cannot even make an engine for your naval ship, never-mind for engines in fighter jets. Lets not forget how most of the systems you use in hardware like ANKA rely heavily on foreign imports, such as mission computers etc:
