The best option if we don't get F35s: working together and combining our forces with our Iranian cousins to build a new fighter jet according to our requirements.
If the US blocks the sale of F35s to Turkey, it's very likely that the British will also stop cooperation on our TFX program. In this case I prefer a cooperation with Iran. Our abilities are complementing each other.Yeahh, England will be so happy and they will keep cooperating with us in TF-X project for sure
We will get F-35 anyway, and even if we couldn't, we have nothing to learn from Iran about 5th gen fighter jet development

And how did you come to this logic? Current US and British governments are currently Anti-EU Conservative governments, and they are trying to cooperate anyone who has closer stance to theirs. If the US blocks the sale of F35s to Turkey, it's very likely that the British will also stop cooperation on our TFX program

If Turkey couldn't get F35s (that is currently impossible), that means current US president lost the political war against CIA and Democrats took the power. It doesnt mean British government will change the ideology in one night.

Turkey have a lot to bring on the table just as we do. I do not know whether JF-17 will fulfill the requirements of TAF even after modification as I am unaware of the parameters. BTW, I think Pakistan and Turkey will certainly cooperate and help each other out especially in Air Force. The question is whether the project is JF-17 or TFX. I think the latter will be the main focus.Suppose, the Pakistan Air-force partners with their Turkish counterparts for such a program (collaboration on JF-17 Block 3 or participation in TF-X), what exactly do you guys bring to the mix? What is your expertise in the aviation industry?
P.S. I am asking because I don't know much about Istanbul's capabilities and research base.
