TuAF Alternative to F-35?

Why has it to be a European, US or Russian aircraft lets look at Korea they are developing something serious capable.

Engine is a licensed version of GE F-414 (used also in F-18 and Gripen), AESA and other avionics made by Korean companies. In my opinion the better alternative for F-35/F-4 replacement.

What are you talking about guys? TF-X is the only right alternative to any US or RU independent making piece of shit of technology. You have so many F16, their radars and avionics have to be modernised with TR own technology, that know how can be sold later to many other countrys and then TF-X will be ready for the rumble.

Of course TFX is important. However we need to acquire some new jets in the next few years because all our neighbors are arming up.

Mainly because the KFX will be ROK’s first fighter jet. As such it will have lots of uncertainties as opposed to the other 3 alternatives.

any sort of meaningful co-operatin with Russia or China in this field seems a bit unrealistic untill all other opptions are exhausted. Honestly speaking limited numbers of over priced Eurofighter which may fulfill Air force requirments or if ''possible'' an F-16 upgrade program are whats gonna happen untill TFX arrives in ''numbers'' and unfortunatly it will be not happening any time soon! we should accept the fact that We are already in a transition period and at least a decade long relative weakness in the Air Force is inevitable. However, luckly enough during this period, with our local Air defence programs we will be able to compansate this relative weaknes in our Air force!

Turkey needs a gap filler to buy before it can use the TFX. That gap filler was supposed to be the F35.

Turkey can't go with KFX as it too is far away, otherwise it can just go with the TFX. Turkey needs something now.

What are her options practically?
1. Euro fighter - unlikely as it is both expensive and politics prone
2. Rafale
3. Su35
4. More F16s
5. Su57
6. JF17 b3

Problem with Russian tech is it won't be easily integrated in the Turkish network. And the Turkish AESA is not big enough to be integrated and it would be time consuming to integrate it.

Easiest to integrate would be the Rafale. But will Erdogan buy from the most Islamophobic leader in Europe?

The JF17 B3 would be the option with the greatest value for money. The nose diameter is nearly the same as the Turkish AESA, and already uses Turkish EW. It is an open source system that Turkey can easily integrate and have the confidence of buying - given its friendly relations with Pakistan.
As a quid pro quo Pakistan could buy more Turkish weapon systems meaning the Turkish economy would not lose a huge amount Of USD.

Acquiring JF-17s is very improbable. It has poor performance and the same problem as with Russian fighters will apply. If we are left that desperate it is much more likely that we will go with Gripens. Sweden has no animosity towards us and they are desperate for selling so they will agree to TOT and joint production/marketing. But I doubt that we will need to.

That would be very silly given the main critical parts in the Gripen are American.
You may try the Drakken that has more local content. Looks a beast too.

Can hurjet make as cheap aorcraft like FA-50 also developing marine variants of hurjet to use in TCG ANADOLU?

HURjet is a jet trainer aircraft which may also perform CAS missions (and a test bed for local systems), so I guess we should treat her fairly! No need to expect more from her other than being a good jet trainer.
