TTP leaders evacuated by mysterious airlifts

Dude spare us the hypocrisy. Last time we checked Iranians are also dying to step over our soverignity. Heck you guys even surpassed the Indians into blaming us.

In the absence of any empirical evidence, we should not assume that all Iranians think like their government does or support the policies their government does - and a group of people attacking the P Embassy/consulate (if that is true) does not indicate the majority agree with their actions.

The opinion of many Pakistanis about Zardari and some of his policies (and his current George Bush like approval ratings) should be indicative of that.

Well speculation on my part but didn't the PA make peace deals with TNSM which had strong backing of TTP. Then later this year peace deals were made Maulvi Nazir and Hafiz Gul Bahdur even though north waziristan was a well known hideout for foreign militants for many years. (Pakistan cuts deal with anti-American militants - Yahoo! News). However this may just be a brief respite before clean up operations start in N. Waziristan and part of a PA startegy.

Also Baitullah Mehsud was called a patriot by some "unnamed" security officals.(Army official calls Baitullah Mehsud, Fazlullah ‘patriots’).

Given this history it could possibly be a false story or even an airlift as part of some peace deal?

They made peace deals with them because the Army was outnumbered that time, they fought them and defeated them, you forgot to add that.

Who said Mehsud was a patriot? How was he a patriot, by killing Pakistani civilians? Was he part of the Mujahideen? Don't take what conspiracy theorists say at face value.

Maulvi Nazir Group has its stronghold in South Waziristan, Hafiz Gul Bahadur has his stronghold in North Waziristan. At the time, Mullah Nazir Group which is affiliated with the TTP Mehsud group had the stronghold there, but then the Pakistani Army fought and defeated them. Why would Pakistan fight them if was aiding them? However, there are many groups in North Waziristan, & the number of terrorists there outnumber the troops there. Which is why it is not feasible to fight them right now. The Pakistani Army has conducted more operations than the NATO forces, killed & captured more terrorists than them, & also lost more lives than them. So I don't know who the Americans are complaining against Pakistan.

Well, TheNews article quoted a military official on Mehsud. After Mumbai attacks Mehsud said that he was ready to fight alongside with the Pakistan army against India.
