On my part, with demonetization, I strongly suspect the BJP has orchestrated the biggest loot in the history of Independent India.

I don't see why this is a problem.

If the social evils of other religions and cultures in the country can be removed, Muslim community is no different. They are as much responsible for the country as much as we all are.

A welcome step to see this being barred.

Of the 5 years a party is in power, it actually is free to work "for the country" for only 2, max 3.

Any body who doesn't follow Quran. Then its his or her choice. Islam doesn't force you to be Muslim. And for us Muslims Talaq as mentioned by The Prophet is that it is the worse thing and only necessary in extreme condition. Rest that women if follows is her choice. We can't force Islam on even any Muslim let alone Non-Muslim. You will find stray's in every religion. That doesn't mean you can enforce it on others. The title of this thread is not right. Ban on triple talak feels like its a banning people to have more then three divorces.

Rather it should be ban on talak talak talak.

Use the term we do i.e verbal talak

Triple Talaq is not practised in Iran and Pakistan but it is in India because for decades the previous regimes kept appeasing some handful of clerics who made up laws. I don't think it is written anywhere in their religious book either since many non-Indian muslims are often surprised when they read about this.

Technically, it is a social evil which we are removing.

Of course these clerics will oppose; because their role comes in the middle of re-marrying these women and that too not in a nice way.

Banning such things limits their powers.

Instant talak in private, over telephone, in a text message is not Islamic.

It has to be a public affair like nikkah and before the permanent separation it will take months for the relationship to dissolve. The purpose is to reconcile and save the relationship ...... that's why it is a lengthy process .......... and not some instant Nikal jaaaaa thing.

The crime is that they pronounced it themselves illegal. They should have mad a JIT of Islamic scholars and then would have given the verdict. This would have not created an insult to any religion. People tend to forget that the most sensitive point for any human is his beliefs or religion. Now what they have done is fueled an ethnic war, which will result in number of casualties without any valid reason just in the name of ethnicity. Judges should have been sensible.

another thing to add
in pakistan only punishments were announced for those who do triple talaq but didnt outright banned it because whether triple talaq is banned or not,in the eyes of islam once a husband gives the triple talaq to his wife,they cease to be husband and wife
so if in this case the court orders a couple to stay with each other in spite of it,it would be zina or in other words adultery.
and those muslims if they want to remain pious and true to Allah's commandments will have to reject it even at the cost of their life as otherwise a zani will remain in hellfire for all of eternity.

69. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace;

[al-Furqaan 25:68-70].

So zina (fornication, adultery) is mentioned alongside shirk and murder, and the recompense for that is eternity in Hell with a doubled torment and disgrace, if the individual who deserves that has not escaped it by means of repenting, believing and doing righteous deeds.
