My point (labor I must ...) is that you cannot give someone 6 months, and then in the same ruling also allow them opportunity indefinitely to do something.

From what I can see he has been saying all the right things since yesterday. Calling it a regressive law that needs to be struck down. And questioning whether Mohammedan Law can be above the Indian Constitution.

He's obviously also hit out at Modi for politicizing the issue.

You do know Kapil Sibal is one of the lawyers fighting for Triple Talaq, right?
Also, you should watch numerous other videos of Manish where is saying exactly opposite of what you are saying.

Regarding his statement on politics, it's childish and amateurish. Of course it's politics. It has been about politics since 70 years, BJP just a new entrant into this issue, that's all.

Yes, Congress fought for independence and they have my respect for that ... but unfortunately they have reduced the party to a LAUNDI of Gandhi-Nehru family.

Hundreds of unknown people sacrificed their lives for the independence struggle who were not part of Congress or Sanghs or Communists all over India but we only sing "De di hume aazadi bina khagdak bina dhaal" Auro ne kya bas teetar bater maare the?

Since this law cannot be above constitution. Then how come prohibition of Eating Cow meat in Hindu religion becomes above Indian Constitution. Killing people and lynching them. I think India should literally change its name from India to Hindustan. Since every other religion practice is against Indian Constitution and Hindu religion is above Constitution.

The Hindus will never be a perpetual vote bank.

They are two big and too diverse. With highly conflictive interests.

Since they constitute 4/5 of India, they are not threatened.

The absence of an existential threat is the death of a vote bank.

Instead what the BJP has done is coalesce 6% to the existing 14% Muslim vote bank which will now vote anti Modi en bloc.

The part of the 4/5 that will not vote for Modi and did not vote for Modi even in 2014 will get added to that 1/5.

We are heading for coalition politics once more. Till the Congress picks itself up and reinvents itself.

Not really familiar with RSS work during independence struggle and couldn't care less either. It's all about what they are doing now or will do in future. Being from a non congress and non bjp political background I feel more comfortable with BJP after witnessing how Congress see their role in independence as a birthright to loot people of India.

On my part, with demonetization, I strongly suspect the BJP has orchestrated the biggest loot in the history of Independent India.

But that's not why I will vote against them.

The 6% refers to non Hindu non Muslim Indians. We are there too ...

The 14% is Muslims.

And Hindus approximately 80%. Actually for the first time they've dipped below 80 ...

Of that too, 16.6% are Dalits, and 8.6% are Adivasis.

Of the rest, the BJP will still have to crack Maharashtra and the Southern states. The North Eastern states.

Politics is always about vote banks.

The Americans use the word "constituencies" ... the meaning and dynamics are much the same.

In a population, people move in groups. You cannot cater to 1 billion people individually. You try and cater to the maximum number of groups, so that you win and get a chance to (hopefully) serve the people.

You balance what one group wants versus what another group absolutely doesn't want versus what other groups may or may not want or can or cannot live with. And push an agenda.

I see nothing bad or unnatural about vote bank politics.
