It is not yet available/in service.Actually you should rather yourself do some research as he is right. Babur SLCM is packed inside the torpedo tubes to be used with Pakistan's existing submarines while later these may be launched from VLS on the next gen subs from China.
would a cruise missile qualify as a torpedo ??
These are the tubes for lightweight ASW torpedoes in the Tariq class (former Type 21 Amazons). 400mm Bofors Type-43X2 version. Probably can also fire smaller diameter US and Italian ASW torpsImran bhai chehra kyon chupa diya ha pic ma apne

probably notIs this is classified as Torpedo?
If they even launch from torpedo tubes (which is quite plausible) these missile could not be classified as Torpedo because they comes out of water with booster motor and rest of the path they travelled as a cruise missile.
He's also partially wrong. Babur is being developed as a submarine launched cruise missile, VLS or through torpedo tubes, but neither would make it a torpedo.
This looks like a torpedo, yes? It's actually a submarine launched Harpoon Missile in its capsule for torpedo tube launches.
The capsule falls away once the missile breaches the water's surface.
Babur is not a torpedo, just as this encapsulated Harpoon isn't. Torpedoes can leave the water via rocket, as with Subroc or RPK-7, but they conduct their attack underwater.
So War&Peace is right that Babur could be launched via torpedo tubes or a VLS, once that capability is developed, but that doesn't make Babur a torpedo. There is a difference between a torpedo tube launched encapsulated missile and a torpedo.
Mmmmmmmmm Ok I still hold my point as I am a positive thinker and see at a glass half full .
Is this is classified as Torpedo?
There's a fine line between optimistic and delusional. I leave you to find out where it lies.

There must be something missing. PN is operating a fleet of ASW helicopters as well and they too can carry torpedos.@Hassan Guy

Plus, that still wont make it a torpedo.

There must be some Chinese torpedos as well being used with Z9C
Great work Khan shb
