China really needs to become more humane. For Gods sake, Turkey had gpd per capita around 3.500 and we didn't treat our people like slaves, We oppressed Kurdish people and look where it got us. I hope one day China will treat her citizens like human and not some kind of sacrificial lamb

I don't get this. How does "Free Tibet" get the news? I assume there's telecommunication involved. In this age, you would think they could also make a picture easily with a cellphone? Hard to imagine there's no single picture flowing out, but somehow they get so much detail of the story.

Before I came to US, I listened Free Asian and VOA and I had great sympathy on Free Tibet. Ironically after I am here and can read their stuff freely, it completely changed my view.

The typical trick to spread falsehood by Western media is to lie with quotes and numbers. Here we have a prime example. All these Western media outlets quote India-based Tibetan exiles without any reference to the veracity of their story. They manage to circulate a story that they desire with deniability. Should the story turn out to be false they can easily plead innocence. After all, they did not fabricate. They merely quoted.

So in 2009, the Chinese government forced the Tibetans to put on a face to celebrate the Tibetan Losar, their version of the New Year celebration when the Tibetans themselves declined to do so. Then in 2012, the Chinese government forced the Tibetans to celebrate the Chinese version of the New Year.

TENSIONS have escalated in the sensitive Tibetan region of south-west China after security forces opened fire on ethnic Tibetan protesters, killing at least one and injuring more than 30 others on the first day of the Chinese New Year.

Tibetan govt-in-exile condemns China police fire on agitators, IBN Live News

Dharamsala, Jan 24 (PTI) The Tibetan government-in-exile today condemned the incident in which a Tibetan was allegedly killed and several others injured in clashes with police in China's southwest Sichuan province. "The Tibetan parliament is deeply aggrieved by the incident and condemn the Chinese authorities for resorting to such drastic act of force and repression," a spokesperson of the Tibetan government-in-exile in Dharamsala said in a statement here. "We call on China to respect Tibetans right to express themselves and look into their legitimate grievances," he said.

The spokesperson alleged the international community has remained "mute to the sufferings of the Tibetans". "We appeal to international community to impress on China to find a lasting solution to the Tibet issue," he said.

In China it is against the law to attack police. If you attack police, they will shoot you.

Some Tibetans don't like Han Chinese living in Tibet, so they violently protest. That's too bad. It's all a part of China now. They are free to go to live in other parts of China if they wish.
