If you don't know the difference between Goverment and citizens, I don't thing replyngto you will be fruitful...
Of cource I would but I can easily say that most of the Turks would just curse you I have three Jewish friend here in Cyprus, even after flotilla inident I still am friends with them. They still think that Turkish goverment should fore the activist to cancel their journey and I still think that Turkish goverment did the right thing by letting them have their social rights.- I am pretty sure that goverment was not that interested in social rights- I was at the protest against Hrant Dinks murder, I attended protests for Kurdish peoples rights... Criticism open minds to new ideas.
I wasn't compering China with India. I was commenting that people are compering India, a country which has worst living conditions than even Africa. It is ridiculus. It is like than compering Norway with Turkey...
I didn't say Armenian Genocide was fake. God, did you read my post... I said that numbers don't macth with the Armenians that were living in Ottoman Empire. In 1910 cencus there was around 600.000 Armenians in Ottoman Empire. I said that it was not just the Ottomans killing innocent Armenians, things were done by both sides. Please search Tashnag, Armenakan, Hinchak.
I didn't compere Turkey with China, I said we opressed Kurdish people and look where it got us... When I was saying ''Turkey's gpd per capita was around 3.500$ we didn't have work camps like these.'' I meant Turkey could manege to increase her GPD per capita by nearly 3 times and goverment didn't use any work ethics like these. I am pretty sure that with population like China and with her natural resources China's economy could grow on much greater rate and I am shocked that why won't Chinese people organize huge protest against these kind of policies. I really have no idea. Difference of culture I guess.
A look inside the Foxconn suicide factory - Telegraph
1 Million Workers. 90 Million iPhones. 17 Suicides. Whos to Blame? | Magazine
And the source about the 31cent and 35 hours of work was Msnbc if it was some unreliable source I wouldn't even put here. 20 Chinese universities to compile a report on Foxconn, which they decried as a labour camp. My resoures was these...
If they are wrong and I gave faulse information I have nothing against to apoligise for it... Msnbc said their source was indipendent and I assumed this was a worker who didn't want to be filmed which propably is.
Don't mistake me as someone who wants to bash China, I have no problem with singing prises to China's economical succeses as long as I critisize their wrong doings-from my point of view-
first of all, MSNBC said one year earlier that the shifts were 12 hours. They're changing their story
The man who makes your iPhone - Business - US business - Bloomberg Businessweek - msnbc.com
"Li Caihe, a 19-year-old from Gansu province, works a 12-hour shift"
As for workers not wanting to be filmed, this is not probably, as the MSNBC article clearly states:
"More than two dozen Foxconn employees were interviewed; none showed signs of being afraid to speak freely to a reporter. Those interviewed on the job did so without a supervisor present. Other discussions took place in Internet cafés, staff dormitories, and in the company canteen. Most seem keenly aware of their choices. They work at Foxconn because they want to make money as quickly as possible."
Also, you assume that Chinese workers would accept 35 hour shifts at 31 cents per hour. Even if people wanted to, they couldn't. Slave drivers can't even make their slaves work for 35 hours in a row because the human body just can't work that long.
Li Xiaofeng, a 20-year-old from a farm in Hunan province, joined Foxconn in May 2009 to work on an HP color printer assembly line at the Longhua campus. Her generation, she says, is far less accepting of long hours, low pay, and verbally abusive managers. "Youth, especially those born after 1990, have a lot more enthusiasm and passion but are easily depressed once they meet obstacles," explains Li. "We are less able to endure suffering."
Finally, just a few days ago, a factory's workers shut down the entire plant, making it lose 100 million dollars per day, for reducing their holiday BONUS. That's right, not low regular wages, just for reducing, not eliminating, their BONUS.
