Three-Year-Old Uyghur Boy Dies in Thai Detention

Unless you can speak fluently Turkish which I don't think you do. You probably used google translate and got the wrong things out of it.. No where did I question Turkish-Pakistani relations. I was talking about the amount of post this particular thread we are in was getting or was not getting and that I appecriated that some non-Turks responded to this thread. Every can think what they want. Also you are right. English is not my first language but you used google translate to judge me and I think you went wrong there because you got the wrong things out of there. We said we don't expect anything from Pakistani because you have limited leverage in the region but I also made the observation that we have differences about empathy towards Uyhur. These are not lies but observations. They can be true or not. Everybody can decide for themselves. Next time you can just ask what we are saying instead of using google translate since you can make the wrong conclusions.

Look my friend, yes I did use Google translate and sure some things don't come out right.

I just want to put things behind us and make a good fresh start. The last thing I want to do is debate with a Turkish brother. Forgive me if I said anything wrong, that wasn't my intention and I want this place to be your home. That's all that matters.

No worries. I never said something wrong about Pakistani. We don't have to have the same perspective. I'm angry at China. I got angry in this thread when I saw Uyghur children getting killed in that video and one coming here making snarky comments.

No worries brother, I understand.

I don't think Pakistanis are programmed to connect Uighurs to Turkey. From what I have seen on the forum they see the Uighur unrest as western plots against china and just some Taliban guys doing terrorist attacks but after some threads were opened about repression of Ramadan for Uighurs I could see the positions of some Pakistanis change.

Besides Pakistani members are currently involved in other threads, they just had a massacre and they have all of these political threads going on.

Just because you don't comment doesn't mean you don't care, we have dozens of turks who have seen this thread and haven't replied. Does that mean that they don't care?

Regarding Uighurs there isn't really much turkey can do that can actually influence things but what can potentially be done needs to be done. For example all of the safe international Uighur groups should be head quartered in Turkey (not talking about radical groups), if refugees can be taken they should be settled in Turkey, get Turkish companies to make investments in Uighur areas, make some conditions when dealing with china to try and get them to allow more religious freedom. These are all options but if implemented they will have minimal impact because Turkey has almost 0 influence over china. I dont even know if those are real options :cheesy:

True, I think the Pakistan government is feeding the same propaganda China is feeding to their people. They use the terrorist card to suppress simple rights like practising religion and cultural rights in their own lands they occupied 60 years ago. Some might not know but I read it is forbidden for them to go to friday prayers, do ramadan and other simple things.

Even economic powers like Japan and the US can't influence domestic issues in China. Saying Turkey doesn't have any influence in China is a non-argument. I would say Pakistan has more influence over China than anybody else. China doesn't have any allies other than Pakistan. Does China have any other allies? No. Having said that. I repeat. I don't expect Pakistan to do anything like Turkey who openly critiques the Chinese government. Did China cut ties with Turkey? No, they warned us to stop making statements and we simply don't listen to them and repeat saying the truth.

Uyhurs have great support in Japan. Uyghurs have their own organizations in Japan and there is a civil society supporting the Uyghur. Expecting everything from the government is bull. Japan is under pressure to stop supporting Uyghur rights but they simply don't listen.

I believe anti-China sentiments are growing throughout east-Asia. Turkey can't do anything against China but it can have its place in the anti-China coalition. Chinese are threatening our muslim brothers in Indonesia, our Japanese allies, friendly Thai people, etc. Probably the end goal would be to boycott China. This might not happen one, two three but we have to think in the long term. There are newly developing cheap labor markets that are stealing all the Jobs of Chinese. In a decade the world will be totally non depended on China's labor market(that is aging very fast due to one child policy; average age is nearing 40 years old). China is getting expensive labor market while they are already a third world country. In that kind of scenario, the anti-Chinese coalition will be in a better position to influence China's behavior through economic incentives.
