From the markets and schools of Pakistan to the halls and streets of France, we have all suffered at the hands of violent terrorists and their extremist ideologies. Across the globe, nations and leaders are taking whatever steps necessary to curb this plague of violence. Recently, Pakistani leadership has passed a constitutional amendment to deal with militants wreaking havoc on Pakistani soil.

What are your thoughts on the ratification of this constitutional amendment? Would it help deter others from following the path of terrorism?

Few steps must be taken out , if we really want to fight these lunatics ...

1. separate Radicals from non violent Muslims
2. Stop making fun of Prophets and any religion
3. those Muslim who are living in West , should build up relationship with their Govt , and always give information to their govt about any suspicious activities .
4. stop Arming good or bad rebels ..
5. those who still stand up with weapons on the name of Religion , kill them ..

I was watching stand up comedy the other day and they were mocking Jesus and Mary some may consider it bad taste but others will laugh.

in order to cure the cancer, you first need to diagnose it , use precautions , this kind of activities are not something to laugh about ... if they dont care about Muslims in other countries , than at least think about millions of European Muslim why hurt their sentiments ? still killing anyone is not justified ..

If you notice it is not just about religion but also poverty, there was riots in London and across France involving youths who are fed up of what they see as 'police brutality and 'perceived racism'. Interesting is that many of these misguided youths know so little about Islam that they are buying copies of the Quran before they embark on their trip to Syria to join ISIS.

People of any religion would be offended there was a case of a French company using Hindu deities on foot sandals now Hindus took legal action and the French company had to apologise and withdraw the items. That is the correct way of protesting but using the gun to achieve the goal will only lead to more hatred and more mocking not less.

This is a key point but it is pushing the extreme elements underground and tracking them is not easy for any Govt. Most Masjids in UK are working with the Police but the extreme elements do not go to mainstream Mosques so how can they find them? only way is perhaps if families might find out and inform the police but again children can hide things.

In short, yes it will. Justice serves as deterrence and brings order to society. Terrorism thrives in disorder and lawlessness.

This however was never the most preferred way. If justice had been dispensed by regular courts, we wouldn't have seen this amendment. Well honestly, if justice would have been dispensed we would not have terrorism problem at first place.

Terrorist attacks world over like France, Turkey, UK, US and other places are to be condemned. It is time for people of the world to engage in dialogue to better understand each other's point of view and this also includes western societies. Western media is not helping by the way. By fragmenting this world, we all stand to lose.

The main problem is that all such steps being taken now are reactive, while deterring the radicalization process in wider society will take proactive steps, which are still nowhere to be seen.
