What's new

This was how they got the figures of One million Uyghurs Incarceration in China?

I'm pretty sure the US has more connections in China than "some stupid US civilian".

Remember we are supposedly "arming and brainwashing Uighurs". So we have a vast network in place second to none.
To be honest do you think the US gov cares about Uyghur human rights at all ... its just all just part of the "Great Game." Trump himself even said for Xi Jinping to go ahead and build those camps lol. US attitudes towards human rights in China is just the same as towards the USSR back in the old days. All politics, nothing else. And I don't blame them ... using human rights as a weapon is good strategy.

No, this article is straight from Adrian Zenz. His shoddy methodologies should've immediately made you apprehensive. This is the same man that interviewed 8 people and extrapolated 1 million in concentration camps based solely on their unverified claims.

This playbook is entirely predictable. I remember reading the same propaganda about Tibet. The sterilization claims become increasingly stupid because this propaganda will only work in the short term. In the long term, just like with Tibetans, the Uyghur population will increase. Will Adrian Zenz take back his claims and offer a retraction? I doubt it.
F u talking about the article you quoted from me came from government sources.

Unless you claim all of them are, not even one turned their guns against the government, this can't be explained by your Hanjian theory.

Do you mean China has been genociding Han Chinese for 4 decades already?

The Point: Debunking myths on China 'forcing Uygur birth control'
You don't need for everyone to be a Hanjian to maintain control. Just a sufficient numbers of them. After all that's how the colonial power maintain control of their Chinese & other colonial possession.

The same reason why your society can be maintained by the minimum amount of enforcement despite living in a dictatorship. This is like basic stuffs you should know about.

The US could have spies everywhere and know everything. That doesn't change the fact that the evidence being presented is unreliable. Until the evidence presented is satisfactory, the people who believe these extraordinary claims based on nonexistent evidence are gullible people.

What's the point of stating this? We could have a vast network and knowledge of every single civilian in Xinjiang, but that doesn't mean we can't lie and tell fictional stories as well.

The data came from a man cherry picking government sources and arriving at his desired conclusions.

We droned Uighurs in Syria and sent them to concentration camps at Guanatamo Bay. I'm pretty sure it is safe to say we don't care about them. If the US is pretending to care about a group of people, then there is an ulterior motive.

Well if it was up to Trump he'd say 1 million was too low. I'm sure he'd like to lock up far more than 1 million minority Americans.

Luckily for those minorities he can't do that with our type of government. For those minorities in other countries...well they aren't so lucky.

Ever heard of not shooting the messenger?

There's a reason why Zenz's works keep getting quoted by everybody even the UN. The main reason is that his article match up with a lot of Chinese & uighur testimony in Xinjiang. If you guys keep shooting down sources you don't like it just will lead to people posting fake & anecdotal evidences based on their feelings.

Do tell me how 15k being the "desired target" for forced sterilization in a population of 322k is 'cherrypicking" despite it's straight up quoting the government planning budget for the county? This is straight up evil.

The source even state that the mass sterilization of Uighur will be even more higher than what the Chinese ever did.

He isn't just a messenger. He wrote the article and the report.

The UN never quoted him. Western media quotes each other all the time. Information being regurgitated does not make it more credible. Similarly, telling a lie a thousand times doesn't turn it into a fact. The testimony seems to match up because the people giving the testimony keeps changing their stories. People already post fake and anecdotal evidence based on their own feelings.

You do realize the data he's cherrypicking is public information, right? You realize the document is literally on a Chinese government website that is available for you and I to download with a click of a button? Do you think it says "desired target" for "forced sterilization" on a Chinese government website? In case you're wondering, the "project expenditure performance target table" doesn't even mention sterilization. It mentions family planning, birth control, decreasing birth defects, reproductive health education, office furniture, computers, printers, mobile disk storage, air conditioning fans, medical equipment and devices, machinery, and family planning before pregnancy plus other free services. Did Adrian literally leave references thinking we're incapable of checking his sources?

So far zenz is right about the concentration camps, forced sterilization, draconian surveilance & what have you. Without zenz ringing the alarm bell no country would have known about the severity of the human rights violations in Xinjiang. Even u people agree that the situation there is messed up but somehow doesn't see anything wrong with it.

The UN used his articles to try to pursue a case against china. Try harder.

How many Uighurs are collaborators and how many are not, if 99% Uighurs are "collaborators", do you respect the wish of 99% or 1%?

If it weren't for our Constitution and checks/balances ... Trump would almost certainly be a dictator (albeit not as cunning as Hitler or Stalin).

You were actually dumb enough to think a public government document would detail forced sterilization. Forget about doing due diligence and digging through the source, you just had to think about it for a second and you would've deduced how absurd and illogical it would be for a public government document to list out desired targets for forced sterilization. It's a shame you let confirmation bias get in the way.

If the world needed a far right fundamentalist nutjob to ring the alarm, then what's the point of intelligence agencies? Again, if you thought about this for even a second you would realize how nonsensical it is for intelligence agencies to miss 1 million people in concentration camps.

Member states complaining about what is happening in Xinjiang while using the UN as a platform does not qualify as the UN. Try again.

Then explain why is there such a global concerns & outcry for the uighur if there's nothing there? The US Senate even unanimously agree on something for once to sanction Chinese officials over this.

Most here already agreed that there's forced sterilization going around which still classified as genocide. So why can't you see that?

If there's nothing going on in Xinjiang then why is china is refusing access to international observers? We all know why nobody is this stupid. Not even you.
