You’re the one attacking China on this thread not the other way around. The difference is that Chinese people have no problems acknowledging the successes of western cultures and learning from them. That’s how China advanced so fast in such short time.

But you refuse to see a single good thing about China and want to just keep your hate alive. Who is the brainwashed one? Not Chinese people.

That illustrates how brainwashed most westerners are. Most aren’t even happy about the current state of their societies and are pessimistic about their future. A funny fact, just last week we had the Spartathlon, an ultra marathon of 246km, which must be run within 36h. It starts in Athens and ends in Sparta and there are always participants from China and also Taiwan who participate.

Is Greece economic growth sustainable like China? I doubt that. When I say west, I'm referring to countries like US, UK, Gemany, france, Italy.... The countries that are game players on global stage. Greece doesn't belong to west community. The west as a whole meets my point. There are many marginalized countries who enjoy good living standard by eating the cake crumbs fallen from big powers hand. Saudi, Singapore, Northern European countries. China can not live on cake crumbs.

Greece is a Maldives alike country. Whatever political system you adopt, there will be no big difference. China's situation is million times more complex than Greece.

I did not attack. I said my opinion on such overly nationalistic mass events, which look like what nazi germany did. Its my personal opinion. You wont see such mass events over here, because the people here would see it as extremly weird.

Sure, they can be kind of cringeworthy but I think your initial comment on how Chinese patriotism is based on hate of others cannot be more wrong. Chinese people are actually amazingly hospitable to foreigners and they do truly love their country. So that’s where your comment caused issue.

Not really. The unsaid part about respect is that it is important only among equals. Treating someone with respect is treating them like an equal.

When that is broken the law of the jungle applies instead.

This education is actually to teach one to respect himself so his behavior is decent. Respect is still earned in the end.

Of course American progressives have pushed this assumption to the extreme. They think as long as someone thinks that himself deserves respect, other people have to respect him. That is a very perverted way of thinking. It infects the black population quite a bit.
