These French-Made Pakistani Missiles Could Sink an Aircraft Carrier

Utter stupidity written by a fanboy. Very similar to the stupidity of SU30MKI is a cobra dancer, Raptor of Asia and how it cannot be defeated. This is the result of extreme fascination with Israel and a desire to emulate Israel against its neighbors.

The Brahmos is no-doubt a very potent missile but its effectiveness is extremely limited against a foe such as Pakistan that fields a very credible C4I and extensive AD network. Brahmos no-doubt is a very fast missile but the speed comes at the expense of maneuverability. In addition, increased speed increases the RCS of a the missile which means it will be detected immediately when its launched. PAF's AD network is net-centric and all the assets are connected through PAF's extensive C4I network. When a Brahmos is launched, PAF knows it immediately and employs assets in place to neutralize the threat. Same goes for PN which will immediately detect the launch and neutralize.

There is a reason why US still invests and relies heavily on sub-sonic missiles because of their ability to hug the terrain and low RCS make them really tough to detect. Brahmos no-doubt against the likes of Nepal, Myanmar or Afghanistan would be extremely deadly as they lack a credible C4I and AD, but against the likes of Pakistan it's at best a nuisance that can easily be dealt with.
Sir do we have SAMs to neautralize it? PAF have only few Spaada 2000 with small range and PAAD have only 40km LY80s

do u think JF-17 and F-16 give any edge over Indian Su30 , Mig29, Mirage2K
yes

.
What are you talking about:lol:

Pakistan has multiple anti ship missiles

Everything from RAAD 2 to Harbah to C802
Etc

Any ship coming into range would face disaster
Can you not read? I wrote specifically about the AM39 and SM 39 Exocet missiles that Pak has in response to the article.

Yes, we do have the SAMS to neutralize it. In addition, our radar guided anti aircraft guns are also very potent against CM's such as Brahmos. Also Brahmos won't be flying high altitude so range is irrelevant.

Some folks talk big about Brahmos , but they never talk about biggest drawback. Its guidance system has very low flexibility , due to speed. It run in almost straight line. It doesn't change is course or avoid any terrain/ land hugging capability to avoid enemy radars , like other cruise missile.

Please make a correction. Amateurs talk big about Brahmos. And to be completely honest, its a really potent missile system. It only depends who do you pit it against.

Typical PAkistani replies... with no data with no type of system mentioned u ppl r sure to take a supersonic cruise missile down lol..

here r cold hard facts.. Pakistan is without any defense against a brahmos.. Brahmos can achieve its full altitude of 14 kms and achieve a range of over 600 kms and still pakistan can not kill this monster haha

DO YOU WANT TO USE PRECIOUS TACTICAL NUKES TO DAMAGE AIRCRAFT CARRIERS WHEN IT WOULD BE EASILY DESTROYED BY CONVENTIONAL ANTI SHIP MISSILES WITH SPECIALLY DESIGNED WARHEAD LIKE PENETRATION OR SHAPE CHARGE WARHEADS
We should get DF21s from China, they will cut the carrier into 2 pieces like a knife cuts butter

:disagree: no we can't get df-21 from China and don't think China gives us sf21 or its technology to its Chinese strategic tech

The carrier in its existing form does not form a threat to us. It lacks the legs to effectively engage targets within Pakistan. PAF would personally thank the IN High Command if they decide to bring this carrier out into the open seas close to Pakistan's shores as it will be an easy picking for Pakistan.

I think members here on this forum are essentially confusing INS Vikramaditya with a USN Carrier. Now those Carriers are a force to be reckoned with. A standard USN CBG is essentially a floating killing machine, there is not a navy in this world that can challenge their Might.

DiY $5k cruise project shut down, missile goes into hiding

An original, as harmless hobbyists go...

An amateur cruise missile designer claims the New Zealand Government, under pressure from the US, has forced him to pull the plugs on the project. Bruce Simpson's 'build a cruise for under $5,000' project has been fairly widely-known since at least March of this year, and he says the Government had previously admitted he wasn't breaking any New Zealand laws, and had even confirmed that he was perfectly free to export the technology to Iran.

But now, reports the BBC, they have bankrupted him over a tax debt, and he has moved the missile to an undisclosed New Zealand location.

The cruise was the highest profile of Simpson's projects, but he also designs the X-Jet engine as a general-purpose device (for example, go karts). His intention with the cruise was simply to demonstrate that it could be done cheaply, from readily- and legally- available parts, and he is of course right.

Essentially, any self-respecting terrorist with some aeronautical knowledge, a garage and a mail-order catalogue could knock together a cruise missile and use GPS navigation to steer it to the target of their choice. Other options include souped-up RC models and modified commercial aircraft; it's more a matter of whether or not the terrorists have the will to do it than of the technology being in any sense special. As we recall, one of the issues is launch, as cruise missiles are ordinarily fired or air-launched. But a roof-rack and a straight stretch of highway can be used to overcome this.

According to an announcement on Simpson's site, the missile will still go into testing next year. He also has a discussion group going, and intends to offer information via a subscription service. So it's not dead yet.

There is no efficient missile defence system exist in the world. If someone claims... then he is biggest liar. May be those defence system knock down homemade slow moving projectiles. But not high tech. So, there is no defence system against such missile. Naval forces adopt technology to counter the threat before it stuck you. It can be combination of satellite based defence system or keep track of enemy missile carriers etc ...

AND WE HAVE LY-80 FOR INTERCEPTING IT YOU INDIOT MORE HIGHER ITS GOES IT HAS BETTER CHANCE TO BEING DETECTED AND DESTROYED AS FOR LAND MISSIONS ITS NOT A TRUE TERRAIN HUGGING MISSILES ITS ONLY USEFUL IN THE PLANE OF PUNJAB AND SINDH BUT WE HAVE HEAVY DEFENSE AGAINST IT AND ITS USELESS IN TERRAIN LIKE MOUNTAIN WARFARE

What about Barak 1 SAMs on Destroyers on its battlegroup?

. .
Any AD can be defeated using equipment with proper tactics, a saturated attack of different type of AShMs can defeat IN CBG AD also CM-400AKG have added very good capability to already capable AShMs of Pakistani military.
Is CM 400AKG Anti Ship? I have read that it has Ballistic Missile Trajectory and is for fixed target
