Space science then.

What has it given mankind? Where are the benefits to our lives?
Space science? Broad -- but you asked for it.

Satellites and communications
Space developed medicines
Space developed metallurgy
Better understanding of human physiology
Better understanding of weather and climate
Better crop yield thru precision farming
Satellite assisted archeology

Do I need to continue?

Do any of the above religions have any basis for claiming they are the "absolute truth"?

Like I said, I've read the Bible which includes the Old Testament from Judaism, and I've studied the principles of Buddhism and Taoism. I have yet to read the Quran but that is next on my to-do-list.
That is for you to assess and accept or reject.

Weather satellites for weather forecast. Satellite TV. GPS satellites for navigation. Control drones thousands of miles away via satellite link.

Now religions have become religions of gap ..Wherever science yet to make a break through they will point to that gap 'hey look your science has no answer here ,you better believe our fairy tale or else hell is guaranteed ' . They will refer to same science if it remotely near to religious teachings at any topic ..' hey look that's what our religion said thousands years ago , if you don't believe now hell fire guaranteed '..They won't miss a chance to keep hell fire burning ..

When science finds the way to immortality, you don't buy it to become immortal. You die of natural cause and live happily ever after in heaven. How about that? My eyes are now 20 20 don't need glasses anymore after a lasik treatment. Science cured my eyes. Religion didn't. So which should I like? Science or religion? It's a no brainer.

If they don't like science then don't use computer, don't use cell phone, go live in nature and worship religion. Simple.

. . . . . .
So science came out of somewhere and manufactured the equipment used to fix your eyes, yes?

Science is the work of many thousands of dedicated scientists. They did not use religion to do their work and make their discoveries.

GOD is not cruel, this is the worst statement /thought ever to occur to anyone. People forget that we are GOD's creation and he has sent us on this earth to test us and he has his own ways of testing us, who are we to challenge that?

Besides when GOD takes away one capability from a human, he replaces it with something better. Did he (Steven Hawking) think that he made himself a genius? Why did it never occurred to him that It must be GOD ALMIGHTY who gave him a better brain then the other physically normal people?

I think his own disability also led him to the conclusion that there is no God. After all, how can a God exist but be so cruel to his subject ?? Bad people lived on comfortably but a good man like Hawking was subjected to that disability.

I think it is the brain that contains the consciousness, and so it might be possible to have artificial wombs that create new bodies or clones, and the brains transferred to those bodies.

To be honest Stephen Hawking was an atheist. He did not believe any deity.

Yeah...The 'God Of The Gaps' fallacy.

Like I said often that Science is not 'out to get God' but that Science is on a mission to explain the mechanics of the universe. Science have no interests in the philosophical question of 'Why we exist'. But precisely because Science is making the universe slightly more understandable everyday, people -- with their supposedly 'God given' intellect -- are choosing to move away from Religion, at least in the developed countries.

As scientists continues to be successful in its mission, religionists are stuck where they have been since the beginning of civilized societies, namely, failure to reconcile each other's competing and even conflicting beliefs to give clarity to the question that they claimed to be authority on -- Why we exist. If there is a Hell, it is on Earth and it came from religionists.
