According to janes.com, the UK Ministry of Defense Joint Sensor and Engagement Networks Team has awarded Rafael Advanced Defense Systems the contract to deliver the battle management command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (BMC4I) Phase II element of the UK Sky Sabre ground-based air defense (GBAD) requirement. The BMC4I was developed by the mPrest Company, which is partially owned by Rafael.

According to the USD 79.1 million contract, Rafael will supply its Modular, Integrated C4I Air & Missile Defense System (MIC4AD) as the BMC4I solution for Sky Sabre. MIC4AD is core architecture for integration of the networked Land Ceptor air defense missile, the Saab Giraffe Agile Multi-Beam (AMB) medium-range 3D radar surveillance system, and other key sensors systems as required by the UK customer.

The Land Ceptor contract with MBDA capability is delivered through the MBDA Common Anti-Air Modular Missile (CAMM). Equipped with an active radar frequency seeker, CAMM is a next-generation air defense missile designed for land, sea, and air environments; in its land-based application (Land Ceptor) it will replace the Rapier Field Standard C surface-to-air missile system and, in British Army service, form the core of the land-based air defense capability for the UK Royal Artillery. The UK Royal Navy equivalent is designated Sea Ceptor.

The provisions of the Phase II contract require a GBAD capability along with initial support solution for up to five years. This includes delivery of a BMC4I functionality integrated with networked Land Ceptor launchers into a primary Fire Control Centre (FCC). The FCC will be the primary command and control (C2) for missile engagements within the context of a wider Air Defense C2 Battle Management environment.

Great development. U.K -Israeli relations both economic and military will only increase post brexit. Both countries are advanced and developed, so we can learn from each other and cooperation many sectors. Win-Win.
I've always been impressed by Israel's productivity and innovation despite its small size relative to all its neighbours and region. The country punches wayyyy above its weight in almost every field.
Its no surprise that this "small" country of barely 8 million people has a nominal GDP just shy of Farrrrr more populous countries like Iran, Iraq, Pakistan etc .
Plus even more impressive is the fact that Israel has been the world's 6th largest weapons exporter for sometime now and they might even break into the top 5(long dominated by the P5 powers) these coming years. Impressive to say the least. :).

YEah ... you forgot that they got Nearly 4 Bil$ each year from the USA, and I'm not even speaking about the 38 Bil$ Aid signed by Obama last year... AND that is only the USA...
Ofc with money and relation as strong as them, growth will be more consequent, btw having a smaller pop is sometimes better than 200Mil... at least you don't have to feed and pay as much...

And stop with you low comparison with those countries... that are either under embargo or at war... and that is not what Israel is into...

They have only their leadership and policies to blame for their backwardness and instability. Western powers ha e been going aid to many countless countries around the world. If you think Israel is where it S because of Aid money or cooperation the. I must say that's even more naive than i thought. Lol I remember some delusional people also saying Europe and Japan developed as advanced wealthy powers after WWII destruction because of U.S Marshall plan aid money. Without that they will be nowhere..
Mate you can have all the aid money in the world , but you will still not achieve anything you wouldn't have achieve without aid money. :agree: Only a country's citizens and leaders can make a country great and developed. NEVER A FOREIGN COUNTRY, even less so AID money.

Moreover, almost all the money the U.S invests in Israel as "aid" unlike other backward developing countries the U'S actually gets back returns from this investments through technology import developed by Israel. You will be surprised to know how may U.S weapons systems uses/relies on Israeli technology/software and systems. This is not a vain investment dude.
Same with even Britain. For our government to have awarded such a critical weapons systems to an Israeli company (just like many other contracts we have awarded them before) means their weapons are top class and proven. This doesn't means it's simply because of Aid. Lool that's laughable.
If People Inthe region keep thinking like you, it's no wonder they have been lagging behind Israel in almost every field. And the gap will keep increasing with such mentality I'm afraid. :disagree:.
Yo can despise a country, but that doesn't means you should burry your head in the sand and avoid learning from them when there are things you know they are way ahead of you and in which you people can cooperate. WIN-WIN at the end of the day. Reason Chinese, British, Russian, American companies and many other world powers are investing in Israel so much. Not because they live them per second, but because they want to apply into the skilled workforce and innovation of the country I.e ROI(return of investment is guaranteed). :bunny:

This is the foreign aid by the U.S, which Obama renewed.
I want to see the other 4 billion usd per year you talked about

??? Israel get EVERY YEAR around 4Bill aid (sometimes 4 other time 3.5 other time 3) see the first link.

As for the 38Bil, well you know it...

I don't care if Israel get those Aid.. that wasn't the point, but someone here said, no one did...

Israel get U.S aid, which is signed every 10 years, and obama renewed it.
As to ur statement
you forgot that they got Nearly 4 Bil$ each year from the USA, and I'm not even speaking about the 38 Bil$ Aid signed by Obama last year..according to this statement we're getting additional 4 billion USD, which will put the number of aid on 7 billion every year, which is not correct.
And Egypt gets 1 billion in aid every year, and so did few other arab states, which U.S barley get something from.

Don't mind haters. Our military relations with Israel will keep increasing for we recognise and import only the best of the best equipment out there and cooperate with such players for our defence needs.

US & Israeli arms companies bag £500m UK military contract

Israeli arms company Elbit Systems and US military contractor Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) have won a £500-million contract to provide aircraft training for the UK military.
The Affinity venture, in which the two are partners, will provide fixed wing training for sections of the UK Armed Forces concerned with aviation.

Affinity’s component is part of a larger deal led by Ascent Flight training and worth £1.1 billion. Ascent is itself a fifty-fifty venture between international arms firms Babcock and Lockheed Martin.

The aim is to deliver flight training up to the year 2033 in line with the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS).

In a statement, Ascent’s director Paul Livingston said: "The award of these contracts marks a key milestone for the fixed wing element of UKMFTS. Modern training aircraft selected specifically to meet the bespoke needs of the UK’s Armed Forces will deliver optimized training alongside high tech simulators and classroom trainers."

Ministry of Defence (MoD) Procurement Minister Phillip Dunne said the deal was "fantastic news for the future of our military aircrew” and would provide them with “a modern training system which will equip them to deliver on the front line."

Elbit Systems are well known for their range of drones and the firm is of particular concern among human rights groups.

According to a report by the charity War on Want, the MoD awarded a £1-billion contract to Elbit and its UK partner Thales to develop the Watchkeeper drone. The model is now in service with the military.

The charity argues that Watchkeepers are field tested in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Israeli companies such as Elbit will often boast of their competitive advantage in the global arms market due to their extensive ‘testing’ of their weaponry in ‘real life’ situations,” the report says

Win-Win cooperation. Hope to see many such deals from both countries in figure. :)

Here who gets what... it's old since Israel get 3.8 Bil$ now...
And what they get? they spend it on US military while Israel use it on Israel firms... One is getting is money back while the other not entirely...

Obviously, including your country Tunisia. Hope your nation can export sophisticated equipment to us like Israel has been doing. After all you are almost same size and Tunisia has never faced any sanctions being a western ally/partner and you also receive lots of investment from Britain, America etc. I have yet to see what your leaders have done with it to be honest.
They are instead asking European powers for more aid yet again. Hope their people won't start another new version of "Arab Spring" due to the leaders incompetence. :disagree:

Anyway.we have always welcomed cooperation with every country irregardless of the situation. Only national interests matters. So cooperation with Iran isn't any different and it's even welcomed by both sides after the nuclear deal. We don't mind exporting/investing more in the region. :)

Iran extends oil tender deadline, urges BP to bid
Author: AFP
Posted February 24, 2017

Iran has extended a deadline for bids on oil and gas projects, urging Britain's BP to join major international companies that have already applied, local media reported Saturday.

The bidding round for exploration and production licences comes as it seeks to revive the sector, hard-hit by international sanctions that were lifted last year.

National Iranian Oil Company head Ali Kardor said the deadline for bids had been pushed back to February 25, ISNA news agency reported Saturday.

He said the original late January deadline had been extended because "information from some companies was not complete".

He said British Petroleum had still not submitted a bid.

"We are interested to see more companies on the list," Kardor said.

"BP has not sent its inf ormation to us.

"Although we said this is an official process and you need to enter your information, they haven't done it," he added.

The new licensing round comes a year since a deal between Iran and world powers came into force, lifting international sanctions against Tehran in return for limits on its nuclear programme.

Iran is keen to access new technology to boost its production from fields it shares with its Gulf neighbours.

In early January, it published a list of 29 companies it would allow to bid.

It said it had received bids from British and Dutch giant Shell, Italy's ENI, France's Total, Russia's Gazprom and Lukoil, and Schlumberger of the Netherlands.

Asian giants including China's CNPC and Sinopec International, the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation and Japan Petroleum Exploration also put in bids along with companies from Malaysia and South Korea.

Oil-rich Iran has increased production to 3.9 million barrels per day from 2.6 million bpd before President Hassan Rouhani took office in 2013.

It has also earned more than $2 billion (1.9 billion euros) from gas sales since sanctions were lifted, Kardor said.

The country has already signed a flurry of deals with international companies.

In November, French oil and gas giant Total signed a preliminary agreement for a $4.8-billion (4.3-billion-euro) project to develop an offshore gas field at South Pars, which Iran shares with Qatar.

In December, Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding with Russia's Gazprom on the development of two major oilfields.

Also in December, it signed three preliminary deals with Anglo-Dutch giant Shell to examine developing major oil and gas fields.
