What's new

The UK purchased Rafael's Iron Dome Battle Management C4I

Obviously, including your country Tunisia. Hope your nation can export sophisticated equipment to us like Israel has been doing. After all you are almost same size and Tunisia has never faced any sanctions being a western ally/partner and you also receive lots of investment from Britain, America etc. I have yet to see what your leaders have done with it to be honest.
They are instead asking European powers for more aid yet again. Hope their people won't start another new version of "Arab Spring" due to the leaders incompetence. :disagree:

Anyway.we have always welcomed cooperation with every country irregardless of the situation. Only national interests matters. So cooperation with Iran isn't any different and it's even welcomed by both sides after the nuclear deal. We don't mind exporting/investing more in the region. :)

Iran extends oil tender deadline, urges BP to bid

Iran has extended a deadline for bids on oil and gas projects, urging Britain's BP to join major international companies that have already applied, local media reported Saturday.

The bidding round for exploration and production licences comes as it seeks to revive the sector, hard-hit by international sanctions that were lifted last year.

National Iranian Oil Company head Ali Kardor said the deadline for bids had been pushed back to February 25, ISNA news agency reported Saturday.

He said the original late January deadline had been extended because "information from some companies was not complete".

He said British Petroleum had still not submitted a bid.

"We are interested to see more companies on the list," Kardor said.

"BP has not sent its inf ormation to us.

"Although we said this is an official process and you need to enter your information, they haven't done it," he added.

The new licensing round comes a year since a deal between Iran and world powers came into force, lifting international sanctions against Tehran in return for limits on its nuclear programme.

Iran is keen to access new technology to boost its production from fields it shares with its Gulf neighbours.

In early January, it published a list of 29 companies it would allow to bid.

It said it had received bids from British and Dutch giant Shell, Italy's ENI, France's Total, Russia's Gazprom and Lukoil, and Schlumberger of the Netherlands.

Asian giants including China's CNPC and Sinopec International, the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation and Japan Petroleum Exploration also put in bids along with companies from Malaysia and South Korea.

Oil-rich Iran has increased production to 3.9 million barrels per day from 2.6 million bpd before President Hassan Rouhani took office in 2013.

It has also earned more than $2 billion (1.9 billion euros) from gas sales since sanctions were lifted, Kardor said.

The country has already signed a flurry of deals with international companies.

In November, French oil and gas giant Total signed a preliminary agreement for a $4.8-billion (4.3-billion-euro) project to develop an offshore gas field at South Pars, which Iran shares with Qatar.

In December, Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding with Russia's Gazprom on the development of two major oilfields.

Also in December, it signed three preliminary deals with Anglo-Dutch giant Shell to examine developing major oil and gas fields.

After Brexit, even Iran became a "lovely" partner...

I don't underestimate Israeli innovation but yet it's also a factor that
Israeli gets around 38500 dollar per head as aid compare to just 21 dollar by Egypt. @mike2000 is back @DavidSling

Since 1992, the U.S. has offered Israel an additional $2 billion annually in loan guarantees. Congressional researchers have disclosed that between 1974 and 1989, $16.4 billion in U.S. military loans were converted to grants and that this was the understanding from the beginning. Indeed, all past U.S. loans to Israel have eventually been forgiven by Congress, which has undoubtedly helped Israel's often-touted claim that they have never defaulted on a U.S. government loan.

Total U.S. aid to Israel is approximately one-third of the American foreign-aid budget, even though Israel comprises just .001 percent of the world's population and already has one of the world's higher per capita incomes. Indeed, Israel's GNP is higher than the combined GNP of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza. With a per capita income of about $14,000, Israel ranks as the sixteenth wealthiest country in the world; Israelis enjoy a higher per capita income than oil-rich Saudi Arabia and are only slightly less well-off than most Western European countries.

Israel wouldn't need any aid if it weren't of hostility.
Israel defense budget is currently 16 billion USD + 4 billion in aid = 20 billion usd.
I hope one day will come we'll neither need to use that 16 billion for military purposes and nor aid and middle east will be a peaceful place, but back to reality

.
egypt got 30 bilion dollars from gulf in the past 4 years is it help her?
we get some free equipment and money to invest in our defence industry its not the reason israel is developed nation
